Very clear technical drawings, that made assembly a piece of cake. As long as your base is level, this goes up a breeze. Very well made.

What can I say. Fantastic from start to finish and great after sales too.
I purchased the 5m x 5m Hendricks cabin with roof shingles. Delivered on time but had to wait for the English weather to ease a little before putting the cabin up. Once the weather was good it took me ( basic diy skills at best ) and another person 8 hours to have this cabin built and roof on minus the shingles. The shingles was a bit of a pain but still able to cover roof within 6 hrs. If you buy shingles be careful to not do the tile lap to small. ( you will leave yourself short by a couple packs ) as I found out. After sales was brilliant in helping me solve this issue. I can now say I’m over the moon with this cabin and the quality of the cabin itself is amazing. I give tuin 5 stars from start to finish. Very happy customer.

So I wanted to replace my shed, a shabby old 10 year old + std garden shed that was sagging somewhat, with something that looked good and was more fit for purpose. By that I mean when a shed with a single door at one end starts to fill up, You can’t actually get at anything without taking out the lawnmower etc that ends up in the middle. So something with side opening doors. I decided with side access doors I could have a longer but narrower shed, returning some of the garden. I shopped around and lots of shed companies selling lots of sheds but they’re all pre-sized. Tuin was different, they readily said yes to a custom size and had the plans drawn up and sent to me. I went with a log cabin summer house style and am really happy with it. Big shout out to Lee @ Tuin. Shed arrived as a large jigsaw and we needed to paint it all with sealant which took some time - but once that was done it all went up easily, built in a day. Good videos on the website. Excellent service, excellent quality, and really love the final result (when compared to a traditional garden shed it looks very pretty).

I was delighted with the pre-Treated 16mm thick Larch Fence Boards, which I used to build an enclosure for my pond filtration tanks. They were delivered well protected in bubble wrap by a very good courier. I was also delighted with the cost.
Will definitely use this company again.

"I would not but through this company"

I would not buy through this company, I placed an order with them and picked a date from available dates section and then got an email confirming the order saying it will delivered as soon as its ready. I questioned this over email where they ignored what I said and advised it will turn up as soon as its ready. I spoke to sales (over the phone) and was advised you just get confirmation its been dispatched (claiming the date selection on the website was an error) and if you cant be in it will be just left on your drive (nice and safe) when I questioned why it cant be an agreed date once the item is ready they said "delivery company's don't do that" and asked would I still like to proceed which I advised I did. 20mins later I got an email cancelling my order. Avoid this company at costs very unprofessional.

We ordered our Aiste log cabin in a straightforward online process. the order was placed towards the end of March and the delivery was later in June, it arrived well packaged with good instructions, I erected the main cabin structure on my own in a day, the roof structure and barding took a second day and insulation with slave boarding and shingles a third day, finally and insulated floor took a forth day but the entire process was simple and easy. We have treated the cabin externally with 2 coats of Q8 outlast Log oil wood preservative which looks good and is giving great results in heavy rain shrugging off water. the inside we have treated with 2 coats of a clear lacquer and are now ready to fit our with electrics and carpet tiles prior to moving in our office furniture, we have been impressed by the easy ordering process as well as the quality of the cabin and are very pleased with the look and finish.

"Shannon and Somo cabins"

We ordered a Shannon and Somo on 7 July, both delivered as promised on 29 July. Very impressed with the driver and his fully articulated fork lift which made maneuvering to a tricky site easy. We 'practised' with the smaller, budget Somo. It is marketed as made from recycled off cuts, I would guess that manufactured planks have been damaged at some stage and returned to Tuin, it looks like 'good' ends have been kept, the planks cut to a dovetail on the damaged end, which the customer then assembles to look and act as a single plank. The lengths are dissimilar, allowing the customer to ensure the joints are staggered. This went together so quickly and easily I was amazed, the Somo is relatively small so the resulting structure is very sturdy. Treated with Sadolin natural, it looks like a Swiss cottage! Very pleased.
With the lessons learned, I started to assemble the Shannon, again, top quality joints, cut so precisely that the mallet was hardly used, the planks just slot together. Again, this was assembled singlehandedly, even the purlins just drop in perfectly.
Lessons learned and useful tips:- Study Tuins content, instruction videos etc. Also some independent reviews were useful. It is well established but bears reinforcement that the base needs to be as flat, level, stable and true as possible. I made a large 'builders square's from off cuts, a triangle, about 2m per side, which makes constant checking very easy. Pre treat the window and door frames before assembly as the recesses cannot be reached afterwards, also, treat the plank ends over which these slot for the same reason. The structure is quite 'floppy' until the roof goes on, so that is the point at which all the final level/square checks/adjustments need to be made, use temp tie bars to hold while fixing roof in place. I used Tuin supplied standard tannalised foundation beams, and t&g floor, fitted over dpc sheeting with 400mm centres and Celotex insulation. Plenty of material supplied so I could easily work around the few faulty parts.
I strongly recommend laying out, identifying and lebelling all parts against the supplied list & instructions before starting, makes assembly simple.
Minor gripes:- I used the supplied standard roofing felt, which is good quality but possibly old and poorly stored, again there was plenty supplied to allow me to work around the faults. I have fitted substantial 12 inch 'cabin hooks' to secure the doors but will probably retro fit the garage/barn door type overhead restraints to prevent over extension and possible damage.
In conclusion I would recommend both these products as being exceptional quality, especially with regard to the cost. Thank you Tuin.

"Ordered and built Tuin Emma corner…"

Ordered and built Tuin Emma corner summerhouse.Final result I was very pleased with although the instructions could be better as those sent are a bit generic and don't refer to the specific model you may have bought. I would not advise building yourself unless you are a reasonably competent DIYer. Had to do some adjustments, especially to the doorway as getting everything square is critical but can be quite challenging to achieve!

However, my real concern came when after just a couple of months we had one day when the wind got up and it popped the latch on the door and blew it open. (the windows were open and I assume this was why the door opened). The door blew open and was ripped off of the hinges, splintering the wood. Absolutely gutting. I contacted Tuin to ask what they were willing to do to help. The wind is obviously not their fault, however I don't believe they have selected the best hinges for these doors which are very heavy. A hinge should be able to withstand being blown open once!! I was basically told it was all my fault and even though I was open to splitting the cost of a new door with them they insisted I would have to pay cost and delivery of a new door- £350!! I can't afford this or justify it so will have to repair the door as best I can- but it will really spoil the look of the summerhouse. Very disappointed with this response from Tuin. Overall it's a good product if you are willing to put some effort into getting it right but be aware there are some issues and support might not be what you would expect

"Expensive log cabin with doors that don't close properly or lock"

This was our third log cabin purchase from Tuin after being pleased with the prior 2 products. This time we chose the Bruce at a cost of circa £3,500 with multipoint locking doors and unfortunately the doors do not line up, close or lock properly despite maximum adjustments on both hinges. We have been chasing customer services regularly and have had no resolution to the issue despite being assured that a new frame was being sent for us from the supplier. The cabin is useless without locking doors as is meant to house workshop items.

23/8/24
The latest update is a replacement frame will take at least 4-5 more weeks after already waiting over 2 weeks so far - the cabin delivery time was only 14 days when we ordered. The excuse being cited is this is a new product with a different supplier, so much for misleading customers to think they are buying a Tuin product but in this case someone else's product under the guise of Tuin but without the necessary back of Tuin customer services to manage things when it goes wrong as in this case it has.

30/08/24 we were advised that we would receive an update on Tuesday 27th and are still to receive this.

28/9/24 still no delivery date provided for the new doors and frame which we were told would definitely be delivered this or next week. Would not offer a partial refund for the inconvenience and length of time the issue is ongoing.

December 2024 final update
Our long awaited replacement doors with a working lock finally arrived in November. After further correspondence with Tuin regarding our experience we were offered and accepted a circa 3.5% goodwill partial refund and a circa 7% account credit towards any future purchase.
We were advised that our experience has been reviewed and that steps would be put in place to relation to the identified failings which we did not experience with our log cabins number 1 and 2.

"Tuin composite foundation beams"

I ordered my log cabin with composite foundation beams. I finally got around to getting the building uderway on Saturday evening 10th Aug. I cut and fitted the composite beams, they fitted neatly under the first layer of timber beams. The next day was very sunny and after Church I wanted a look at my workmanship - but it was a shocking mess! I thought someone had vandalised the job! The composite beams had bowed out from underneath the timber on all four sides! I lay them on their sides to straighten in the heat, then I measured them - they had expanded over 1cm on each side and this caused them to spring out. Composite beams are not fit for purpose (at least not in variable temperature climates). They told me to screw them to the base (which is not in the instructions) but this won't defy the laws of physics. All I want is to exchange them for Hardwood timber, but they are not interested in an exchange. What a waste of money - I don't know what to do. Our girls are devestated.
