Great customer service and quick turn around time.

"Xometry fixed my mistakes! Great customer service!"

I mistakenly uploaded the wrong solidworks file with two holes in the wrong spot, but since I selected the "certificate of conformance" option and provided the correct dimensions in a PDF, Xometry caught my mistake before anodizing the part.

Xometry reached out to me and asked how I wanted to remedy my mistake. Since the PDF was correct, I requested that they drill two holes according to the PDF. They could have simply drilled the holes producing a shape that looks like an "8", but they exceeded my expectations and produced a visually pleasing "0" shape to hide my mistake.

When I received my part, it was perfect. For such a small order, I am super grateful for the outstanding customer service. They didn't charge me for the extra machining time, and I received my part before the original estimated manufacturing time.

Left a previous one-star review because I was not happy with an order.
To Xometry's defence, I instructed them wrongly, and the review was mostly due to their lack of effort in supporting my inexperience in 3D printing.
This review, however, is on what they decided to do afterwards.
A Xomentry support e-mail approached me to reach back to them again, and I was happy to see that they would like to know more about the case.
I tried to de-escalate everything, and it looked as if the case was closed.
Nevertheless, they sent me an e-mail on 27/09/2024 to pay them AGAIN for a product I already paid for and communicated enough that I did not enjoy.

To summarise, take this as a warning and try not to complain much about Xometry's services cause they might try to charge you again...

The website was very easy to create a quote and order the product, and the product I ordered came out exactly how it was supposed to.

"Bad parts"

I purchased over $200K of different parts from them with part counts of 1000 to 2000 each... I was not very confident in my drawings that were made by a local Solid Works teacher. My project requires one of some of the parts and two of some each machine. Turns out my suspicions were correct and there were a few problems that need new drawings to correct. I also had a problem with the finish on some aluminum square tubing parts as well. The contractor they used apparently sanded all four sides. I think to cover up scratches which it did not do very well. That presented more problems. The material is now thinner as well as having sharp corners. I then had new drawings made and sent to them. I received the very large order and there were many problems. Some of the corrections were made but others were not and I have parts that I cannot use as well as parts I had to fix. They did have their contractor re-make some of the square tubing parts that were as bad as the first ones. I had several parts that were out of tolerance and most parts had deep scratches in them. After three failed attempts to get acceptable parts I decided to have one of the parts that I could not fix made by another company. I also had that company make one of each parts to get a better idea of their quality. They were much better and tolerances were spot on. Xometry sent an invoice for the shipping cost from China for a little more than $57K. I have refused to pay it and now they are trying to sue me. I offered to settle for $37K which is way more than I should have but they will not accept so far. I fully regret ever doing business with these people!!!

It took numerous attempts to speak with my account manager for them to finally give me a quote. The process dragged on for so long, and when I finally did get my quote back, it then took even longer to deliver. The quality of my parts were solid, but the turnaround time was just too long.
