Big fan of Xometry. They're always pretty quick and machine to the specifications I want.

We had a custom part developed that needed a manual quote and production of a sample before we could proceed with a larger batch. We were able to iterate the product to produce a quality part with little hassle and quick turnaround at a competitive price.

The fact that the first order one was slightly warped. I had made a mistake that they took it upon themselves to fix it. Their fix filled in but broke and peeled away. They credited my account so I repaired the parts, resubmitted and costs were mainly recouped.

I've never done this sort of thing before. But the part turned out just perfect, even with tolerances tighter than Xometry cites as their standard.
I didn't exactly know what they expected from me to start, but they were very helpful getting all the information the machinist needed to get it done. They also got it done a little ahead of schedule over the Christmas holiday.
