"I live in Michigan driveway is in…"
I live in Michigan driveway is in Oregon. I was a little hesitant doing business so far from home. This company was great from beginning to end I will recommend them to Everybody. I hope to do business with them in the near future. Don’t sell your car to a local dealer before checking with driveway.

"Positive experience selling"
Was a bit hesitant to sell my car to an online company, but everything went smoothly. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and responsive. Texts and phone calls were answered promptly. Was a bit nervous about mailing the title, but otherwise a straightforward process. Got a better price than other online companies offered, and payment came through very quickly after the car was picked up. Would sell a car through Driveway again.

"Sell your car with Driveway! "
I have never used driveway for selling a vehicle however I had been using them for my financing and my loan. I have always enjoyed working with driveway. They are very good at communicating and following up through text email and phone call. The process of selling my car was quick and easy. I worked with Taylor to get all of the photos uploaded and completing my paperwork and she was very helpful, even letting me know when she was not working over the weekend, but let me know there were still people to assist me if I needed it. Once the sale was completed, they scheduled the valet team to come to my house and pick up the car. Two gentlemen Ruben and Mohammed assisted with checking over the vehicle and they even helped me remove my license plate. Once that was completed, the funds were transferred into my checking account, which took no time at all. Once the funds were in my account, they thanked me and drove the car away. Overall, this could not have been a more easy experience. I highly recommend it

"Amazing Customer Service"
Malik and the whole team had great customer service from start to finish. They were accommodating and patient with me as there were several hiccups with the sale of my car. I was able to stay close with my original offer, as the company was understanding of the unforeseen complications that occurred. Super grateful and pleased!

"I was unfamiliar with Driveway"
I was unfamiliar with Driveway, but decided to give them a chance. Their process is a little unconventional and drawn out, but they came through. Communication was excellent, every step of the way. I would use them again in selling a vehicle.

"Great experience"
Great experience, from the initial quote to the final pick up.
I reached out on Sunday morning and the car was picked up in 10 days. All paperwork and everything was handled seamlessly.

"Slight of hand tricks and canned…"
Slight of hand tricks and canned replies for your complaints. They basically have A.I. running the place. They do not value the customer and will use you.
I was tricked into thinking a vehicle was in great condition for it to be a very different reality once the vehicle was delivered. Both front quarter panels were replaced. Pin stripes on the rest of the vehicle but not the front quarter panels was my first sign that this vehicle was a p.o.s. waiting to be a headache.
I had questions about the inspection (prior to delivery) because of my experience last year...after I purchased a vehicle and was happy with it, but the inspection situation wasn't what was stated. Tried to cover that base and was told...great question. I'll get back to you on that. I never did get the heads up.
Had to get it inspected (it failed) and had to get the damage to the body of the vehicle appraised. My mechanic said, Damn Tim...they couldn't clean this thing out before sending it to you? That alone is disheartening. No one pays $17K plus expenses, interest, insurance, and notary (over $21K) for someone elses trash that the dealership couldnt even take the time to present in a better light upon arrival (except in thier slight of hand photos). I can see, they just assumed I would take this trash heap as is and that's very obvious to me.
Vehicle photos online were at an angle and the car fax stated no accidents. The photos I have from online and then the photos I have while in my possession...show the slight of hand that was performed. What a waste of time and money.
Cabin air filter was never replaced, it smelled like cats...No floor mats, as in zero floormats from front to back. (they go for $140, I guess that was on me to make right too?). I bet the cats had something to do with the all of the floormats being removed and not replced.
Brakes were bad, and the compass flashed (stating it needed calibrated). There's no way to calibrate in a 2015...other than drive 30 minutes straight and hope it calibrates. At that point, the gyroscope needs replaced. I truly belive this is another sign of a really bad accident.
From a leaking cv axle, 2 front quarter panels replaced. Damage to the right side passenger door, rear side panel and rear gate damage, floormats missing, and compass flashing calibrate as well. This was a mistake by the dealership and they should be on the hook for this, but no one cared. All I received was canned replies as to why...
"It is what it is"
Do not rely on this company. It will chew you up and spit you out the second you do.
Can't wait to pay off the vehicle from last year and never do business with this fly by night canned reply company ever again.
*** Add on after Driveways reply...
Yet another canned message.
Again, Can't wait to walk away and never do business with this fly by night canned reply company, ever again.

"I have been looking and looking for a…"
I have been looking and looking for a truck and driveway was the best help possible! Was hesitant about it at first but they got the job done in a timely manner. My truck was what I have been wanting and it was easy and fast. Highly recommend them if anyone is looking to purchase a vehicle.

"MISLEADING "
!!A Frustrating Car Buying Experience!!
I've purchased multiple cars, but this experience was by far the most stressful, incompetent, and misleading. It began when I fell in love with a beautiful S7 at this online dealership. With their extensive inventory, I thought I'd give them a try.
# The Process Unraveled
After submitting my application and getting approved through their banking partner, I received congratulatory emails. This got me super excited that I was finally getting my dream car . However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.
- I was asked to upload identification, financial documents, and insurance, which I did promptly.
- Despite this, I received inconsistent information from different agents, each telling me something different about the process.
- The goalposts kept shifting, with the down payment increasing from $10k to $42k due to a supposed "bank counteroffer."
- When I declined, the agent suggested shopping for another vehicle within the new approval range.
# A Frustrating Experience
- I found another vehicle within the approved price range so my down payment could stay reasonable , but the online portal didn't display my loan approval terms, citing "security purposes."
- To proceed, I had to call each time to get the terms, which was inconvenient.
- When I decided on a vehicle, I was told I needed to reapply because it was a different car, despite already being approved for a specific amount. This was not a pre-qualification , I was actually approved with a hard hit on my credit for the amount of $43k after they rescinded my initial request for $70k unless I put $40k down.
- The agent insisted that my credit needed to be rechecked, which I disputed. That’s not how the car buying process works. Once you are approved for a certain amount, you get to shop around for 30 days to find a vehicle within that amount . I should never have to recheck my credit every time while shopping …ridiculous
# The Final Straw
- The agent couldn't provide evidence to support their claim, and I was transferred to a supervisor, only to be sent back to the calling queue.
- Another representative suggested reapplying for the original car(S7), which further frustrated me.
- The excessive credit checks (5xstimes!) and lack of transparency ultimately led to my disappointment and frustration.
- Do not tell anyone congratulations until you have fully vetted them through the under writing process , that creates false hope
- They should make it clear in bold letters that your credit has to be ran each time you want to change the vehicle while you’re shopping around
- The agents loves talking in circles just to say nothing of value about your inquiry
- The amount of times I had to call them when they said they would be calling me made me feel not valued
# The Takeaway
This experience was marred by:
- Inconsistent communication
- Lack of transparency
- Excessive credit checks
- No dedicated account manager
- Unfulfilled promises
- And, to top it off, I was told to obtain temporary tags myself from the DMV.
Overall, it was a terrible experience that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed.
I’m currently back on Carvana where I had a beautiful experience with my last purchased vehicle .
The only thing that Driveway beats them in is their inventory has more range and often better pricing ,
But the experience is terrible .

"Great offer, so-so process"
Driveway gave me a great offer on my car (better than competitors), and the actual pick-up/hand-off was easy. But the whole middle part of the process (documenting the car, going over paperwork) was onerous and unnecessarily complicated/frustrating. The app that you need to use to upload photos zooms in significantly, which meant that I needed to keep moving my car in order to get the whole car in the shot (I have a narrow driveway). And then by the time I would finish taking all the 13 photos, it wouldn't say that the pictures had uploaded. I had to call and wait on hold for a long time in order to get to talk with an agent, who then told me that yes, in fact, the photos HAD uploaded (there was no indication that they had on the website/app). This process alone took me THREE hours. It would also have been really helpful to know exactly what photos need to be taken ahead of time so that I could prepare. None of the agents knew or would tell me. Additionally, once you get the quote, you have seven days to accept it. But what's not said anywhere is that your car needs to start without a jump. Mine didn't (needed a new battery), which meant that within those seven days, I had to make time to go get a new battery, install it, and then make sure that there wasn't some kind of electrical leak. If I'd known up front that I needed the car to start on its own, then I would have just gone to get a battery ahead of time. Lastly, I probably got handed off to seven different agents, all of whom asked me to verify the same questions (can the car be driven safely for 50 miles, the address of the car, whether I owe money on it, etc.). It made me feel like we were starting all over rather than any of those agents having my account information in front of them.
I would still generally recommend Driveway to others, but with the heads up that the documentation portion of the process is clunky. I'd also tell people what the 13 photos are that they need to have, that the car needs a good battery, and that once you get the paperwork sent to you, you have to get it back to them within three days or it's all void. For a busy professional who chose a service like this specifically because I don't have the time to meet with private buyers, the timing stuff was frustrating.
