Amanda and Sean really helped me through this process they were very helpful and Professional hell Amanda had me on a conference call with my mom's who is in her 80's and another female it went smooth as butter I'm going to tell everyone about cardrive all I had to pay is the down payment oh my god car dealerships can't compete with Driveway they handle the registration and everything don't even hat to go to dmv and stand for hours YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!

"Not Reimbursed for OD VIN"

I paid for a OD VIN and was never reimbursed by Driveway, despite 3+ emails requesting reimbursement.

I had a temp tag for 44 days and almost had to get another temp tag, which would have been another out of pocket expense...one that I'm not sure I would ever get reimbursed for.

If you are patient and have time to wait for a car, Driveway is a good company if you get a great deal on your car. If you have to have a car in a week, go elsewhere. It took me a month from ordering my car to it showing up on my house.

UPDATE: Driveway did confirm my experiences were true and did issue me a check for $50...as they said in their response. They are a new company and still getting the kinks out of their own internal systems. I hope your experience with them is better as they improve.

I saw an ad on FB for Driveway. I wasn't very happy with the offer I was given locally and Carvana was barely higher than the dealerships. I decided to give them a try and though more money is always preferred, they still offered more than the others. There were a few different folks I spoke with from different departments, however, Tyler was the primary person that got if set up and finished. He was quick to answer questions (within working hours). I was updated as we progressed through and after finding out the local Ford dealer was going to handle the pick up, I worked it out to just drive there and drop it off myself. I was notified by Tyler they had received the delivery confirmation and he was releasing the funds. (I owned the vehicle outright) My bank (Capital One) was part of their "Instant Pay" thing so within 30 min the full amount offered was available in my bank account. Absolutely easy, fast payment, no haggling, no hidden fees. Not as much money compared to selling privately, but much better than selling to a dealership. I am happy and would recommend to others if they don't want to deal with selling privately, etc.

I sold my car and had a great experience. The process takes a bit 1-2 weeks from beginning to end, so if you are in a rush to sell your car this is not the best way. But other than that I had no problems along the way. Lots of communication in between. Also, got better deal than in carmax or carvana.
