This was a fast and as easy as it gets way to sell a car. Only hiccup was ups sending documents across the whole country instead of the one state over they needed to go. But that’s not Driveways fault. Everyone was Pleasant to work with. Car was picked up four days from them getting paperwork. Payment was in bank less than 12 hours after that. Highly recommend!

I was looking to sell my car and was originally going to sell it to carvana. However since they reduced what they were going to pay me because I had underestimated my mileage, I started looking around for other companies. The one that had the best reviews and offered me 10% more than the others was Driveway. Everything was easy and smooth from the start. All the customer service representatives I dealt with were friendly and knowledgeable. This includes Jamie, Isaiah and Holly. Finally the last great associate I spoke/texted with was Taylor and she was the last person I dealt with. She made sure everything was correct and the schedule worked for me. Can't say enough good things about them and the process. I was a little concerned about signing my title and sending it off without payment but that is just the process. Right after the driver came to get the car from my house and drove it away, I immediately received a text saying the funds had been deposited into my bank account. I checked my bank account and it was there. Easy, fast and painless. Thank you Driveway and staff 🙂!!

UPDATE - their reply is bogus 🤣 straight up lies. they said they did a deposit, but the name i used here isn't the real name. so who got the deposit? also, my numbers not on this review, i declined to leave it because i don't NEED to hear from you - i learned enough. yall are lying through your teeth. don't trust them. Stay away. They're con artists who bait and switch. Expect to talk to 100 people who all change the script and can never give you a straight answer. On their way to pick up my car they informed me they were having issues finding my bank account and that they didn't wanna pay me til after they TOOK my car - not happening

"Didn't end up getting the car but the experience was still good"
I found a great deal on Driveway's website and went through the steps to try to reserve it.
The process was pretty straight forward and Thad from Driveway soon reached out to me over the phone. They were very professional and easy to work with. I got all the paperwork done within a few hours and they said they would contact the dealer to pull the car. Unfortunately the next day I got a call from Thad saying the dealer had sold the car and it was no longer available but they would try to find me a similarly priced car.
I ended up finding what I wanted with a different company but overall my experience with Driveway was positive and I would like to call out Thad's professionalism. Would consider using Driveway in the future.

Wow! From start to finish, this was an easy experience. They are thorough and quick! Elexeia and Taylor were great to work with. If I ever need to sell another vehicle. I will definitely use Driveway!

The truck that I bought was delivered ahead of schedule and in great shape. I'm very happy with the purchase. That said, it took more than three months to get plates and registration. I had to pay for (2) temporary registrations. I was told that I would be reimbursed but wasn't. Emails and texts were, for the most part, ignored. If you have a question, call them. They're pretty responsive that way.
Update:
I was contacted by Amey who was very helpful and responsive. Everything was corrected so I've added another star to my review. There are many car purchase/sell services from which to choose. I will choose Driveway again. Thanks, Amey!

Breakdown - Buying a Car through Driveway.com
March 28 - Found a car I liked and within budget (received a pre-approval amount from my credit union beforehand).
March 29 - Received a proposal via email from Driveway.com. Basically a breakdown of the costs of the vehicle, fees, registration and shipping fees.
March 31 - Sent an electronic deposit for the vehicle (goes towards the down payment).
April 1 - Received an email stating the vehicle is secured.
April 1 - Received an email stating E-Docs are ready to be reviewed and signed.
April 1 - Signed the E-Docs.
April 1 - Sent current proof of insurance.
April 1 - Received an email stating additional paperwork has been mailed out.
April 2 - Received an email stating the paperwork has been delivered.
April 2 - Had the paperwork signed and notarized, picking up the check for the loan, cashiers check for the deposit and mailed everything back via UPS within 24 hours.
April 3 - Received a confirmation email stating the paperwork was approved.
April 3 - Sent proof of insurance on the vehicle I bought from Driveway.com
April 4 - Received an email and call from Driveway.com to set up a time for the car to be delivered (the car was getting shipped from NJ to IL)
April 6 - Received a confirmation email from the company towing/shipping the car.
April 8 - The car was delivered in perfect condition (exactly what it looked like in the photos). Detailed and cleaned as well!
Note:
I had assistance from Ryan a majority of the time and he gave so much reassurance and answered any questions I had! Without him, I probably would've been stressed. I also worked with Brandon, Jibril, and Angelica!
I only ran into one issue and that was the dealerships fault. They forgot to put the temp tags in the glove compartment before shipping the vehicle out and also left the vehicle with a pretty much empty tank (16 miles left of range). However, Driveway was able to email me the temp tags and offered to reimburse me for a full tank of gas.
I love my car and super happy with how everything went! I've had the car for about a week now and i'm currently waiting for the plates to be mailed to me (could take anywhere between 2-5 weeks).

Amazing, from the start of the process to the very end. Everyone was of great help especially Juan who was always reaching out throughout the process to make sure everything was going smoothly and even reached out after I got the vehicle to ensure I was happy. Juan was very patient and knowledgeable on top of the great service. Also, I’d like to shout out Shara who ensure I was scheduled to pickup the vehicle, she was very kind and informative. There isn’t much great customer service nowadays so I’m so thankful for everyone that worked with me at Driveway as they were all so wonderful! Also, I’m excited about my new wheels!!

"Do not buy from this car company"
Bought a car from Driveway in November 2024 after being involved in a car accident. Finally had the car delivered the first week of December. When the driver finally showed up he told me that the battery was dead and would have to jump it. That should have been my first red flag. Also came with no temp tags either. By the time I could get it in and get a new battery the 7 day return window had passed. Submitted a claim to Driveway and was told by Yaka (yes I have all the texts saved and recommend you do the same) that a reimbursement for the battery was approved and yet here we are 5 months later and still nothing. I have reached out several times since and have been ghosted on everything. I have put considerable amount of money in car since buying and would recommend if buying from them have an mechanic inspect it within the 7 day return window or better yet just run as far away from this company as possible and buy from a reputable place that will back their car buying process.
