By far the worst company I've ever dealt with. Awful service, excessive fees, no one owns the partnership/no primary contacts, continued to charge me for 10 months after I closed my restaurant and then, after resolving that/ending any/all partnership 3 months ago, was recently charged another $1200. Could not be more livid with how this company conducts business - total fraud.

"Terrible Company"
Terrible Company. We run restaurants and switched to Shift4 for processing. Their system is obviously not meant for restaurants. We had constant issues with tips not being processed, causing us to cover customer tips ourselves. Their cancellation policies are almost as bad as their system. They demanded we pay fees through the end of the year and wouldn't allow us to cancel even with 30 60 of 90 days notice. Hopefully that extra $25 per month was worth it, we'll be telling everyone who will listen not to use Shift4.

Stay far far far away from these frauds. Shift 4 now has given $10,752.17 of our money back to guests who were guaranteed no-shows in the last 3 months from Booking.com at our hotel. They have also given back $5,392.17 to customers who actually stayed at our hotel and signed hotel folios and had their IDs scanned. Their customer service agents are worthless too…if you can get them to answer the phone. Unprofessional and ghetto. Comparable to the worst fast food service you can imagine. They also have TONS of complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau against them. We are currently in the process of switching. If you prefer a company who will side with anyone who has chargebacks with your company, will give away and steal your money, and has zero interest in protecting your business, then Shift 4 is perfect for you!

"Stay Away From Shift4!!"
Stay Away From Shift4!!! I have tried multiple times over the phone and countless emails to close the account. They just send me countless cancellation ticket numbers that are useless. What is the point of sending these cancellation tickets if they don't just cancel the account. Hold on though, I have been billed every month without fail and I closed the account of October 31st of last year! Do the math!
How is this kind of theft legal?

NO SUPERVISORS WILL TALK TO ME. I HAVE REPEATED THE REQUIRED STEPS FOR OVER 11 MONTHS WITH NO RESOLVE. THEY DEPOSIT MONEY INTO THE PROPER ACCOUNT BUT DEBIT FEES FROM AN OLD ACCOUNT RESULTING IN OVERDRAFT FEES. SIMPLE FIX. I'M TRYING TO MAKE SURE THEY GET THEIR MONEY AND THEY ARE MAKING IT A HUGE HASSLE. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE SERVICE !!!!
Of course the response from the review was to call the same number and email that left on hold for 3 hours then hung up on me. Same number that wouldn't let me speak to a supervisor.

"Business owners beware!"
Shift4 has nearly driven my company out of business. They are currently withholding nearly $20,000 in revenue for an unknown reason. I have tried contacting the company via both phone and chat. Their "customer service" is unhelpful at best and unresponsive at worst.
After hours on the phone, I have received nothing but broken promises about callbacks and no actual resolution to my issue.
I still have no idea why Shift4 is not processing my payments. I was not called, emailed, or notified in any manner that Shift4 had stopped depositing my batches in my bank account.
At this time, they're continuing to take my customer's money and hold it without any explanation.

We open a account with shift 4 in a matter of 30 days they froze our 1 million dollars in sales we did and it's been months they refuse to give us our money back they are trying to put us out of business beware

Restaurant manager promised by switching to SHIfT4 processing dupicate charges caused by the pos interface Firstdata would be resolved. TOTAL LIES!!!!!!
OVER $1000 a week in duplicate charges. Software was up dated but still in all our locations the batch a pos report frequently didn't match due to our guest being charge for both pre tip and after tip total. Customer service pathetic at best. If you do get through to customer service what you are told is probably a lie and if they promise to call back with an answer DO NOT BELIVE THEM it’s just a ploy to get you off the phone. Processing fees also higher than on signed contract. Billing total opposite to transparent. After submitting termination notice which was ignored, we discovered hidden in the monthly statements we were being charged fees for equipment that we had never received. Not only did they refuse to refund but after the account was closed for over a year fraudulently by creating a different merchant name to get around the block the bank had put on RestMngr drafted many thousands of dollars out of our accounts for equipment we never had. BEWARE do not give any bank info to these LIARS AND THEIFS

"Shift AWAY from Shift4 Payments"
Our company's contract is with HarborTouch for ACH deposits. They recently switched to Shift4 for their processing and customer service has suffered. There have been issues with delayed deposits because of Shift4 system problems. When Covid shut down the economy, Shift4 began withdrawing THEIR percentage each day to assure they would be paid but they are much less concerned when their customers face 'funding delays' that originate with Shift4. I intend to leave as soon as I can make arrangements with another processor.
