"I previously wrote a one star review and here is another."

I previously wrote a one star review and although Shift4 responded and said "sorry, sorry, sorry" and "we'll do better", they didn't. This company is so dysfunctional. Calling support is always a painful experience. This is a company that support almost never has an answer for anything and will tell you "do you mind if I put you on a brief 5-10 minute hold while I find out that information?". They have no clue.
When I was contacted after my first bad review for them, they promised certain things would happen. No surprise, none of them happened. The matters simply faded into the night. Further attempts to revive them went unanswered.
Also, the person selling you on Shift4 might call themself a "Rep". They are not. They are strickly sales and once the sale is made good luck trying to get any help from that person. At that point you placed into Shift 4 pergatory, which Shift4 prefers to call "Support".

"Long Time Customer, Poor Service. "

I have been with Shift 4 / Originally Harbor Touch for 10 + years and run a small business (Sunrise Satellite Inc.) I used to do a good amount of card processing but business has slowed down and recent activity has been less. I called customer service at the beginning of 2024 to let them know I had taken a temporary job out of state for one year and would not be processing during the year as I was not actively running my small business but wanted to hang onto it for when I was back in Utah again. At the time they worked with me and lowered my rates and trimmed down my services saying there would be no additional fees beyond the agreed rate to keep my account active. Come 9 months later the start of 2025 (Yesterday) I got a $189 fee which was taken right out of my bank account for security services from the previous year. I never knew this fee was going to be charged and on top of that I had not done any processing for nearly 12 months and it overdrew my bank account. Customer Service (Mark F) was unwilling to work with me after being a customer for over 10 years. They held me hostage saying the only he could only refund the fee or reduce it is if I started processing again right now and kept my account. You would think at a minimum they could reduce the fee or work with me based off the fact I haven't used the service at all in 2024 . Based on a google search I don’t think other processors typically charge this much. I suspect they only charge the “security fee” once a year for the previous year to reduce complaints during the year and get away with the higher than average fee after it’s already too late. This just doesn’t seam ethical to me. Nearly every year I have had to call in and remove fees and services that I never wanted or asked for (such as paper statements , 10 year old unused terminal etc.) even though I had previously asked to have them taken off they arbitrarily get added on and customer service has always talked me into staying. I must say in previous years customer service has helped make adjustments that are reasonable. I guess once you are not a customer bringing in a lot of profit customer service goes out the window. I wish I had cancelled last time if I had known this was going to happen. I do not recommend using this company if you are a small business with infrequent processing. If you do not frequently log into the portal to stay on top of undisclosed upcoming surprise fees or stay on top of rising rates you may be better off with another company that communicates clearly.

Scam the charged us over 500 and were sneaking in bills when lied about the price saying it only 30 a month garbage people

"We have sky tab we were only supposed…"

We have sky tab we were only supposed to pay 29.99 a month. Now they charge two different charges that add up to over 100 per month. Also now they changed us 500 for securing our credit cards. This company is a joke.

"Faustina to the rescue! "

I was back and forth with Shift4 and two other venders, with no luck resolving an issue for a few days and was getting pretty frustrated. I decided I'd make one final attempt before passing the issue to someone else within my property. Faustina (Lilly) answered the call at Shift4 and could probably hear the frustration in my voice. Faustina took the time to listen and to also acknowledge my frustration, she was very kind and had a great calm in her voice while also making sure the issue was finally taken care of.
It's people like Faustina (Lilly) that make some companies worth working with.

"This company has stolen from me"

This company has stolen from me, Jarred Issicman is a crook and I can prove it in a Court of Law. Do not do business with someone that you cannot trust. They do not care about you. Everything I am saying can be Proven. So, Bring it on. / 1/6/2024 = You do not need my contact information, even your General Counsel Jordan Frankel has admitted too defeat on this one. For now on, Shift4 and Jarred Issicman will have (Thief) following their name. I am sure Jarred will enjoy adding an new accomplishment to his resume for the world to see. Everything I have said is public information.

"Outstanding Customer Service"

Our primary contact, Marcus, has been responsive and quite helpful. He is prompt, knowledgable and his willingness to assist comes through at every interaction. We have also had some technical issues to address and Mark has gone above and beyond to provide help and resolve the issue.

You need to call Marcus it you are looking for a great POS system. He always follows through on new account setups. He checks in periodically. Our Hawthorne's Pizza Mooresville needed a quick install and Marcus made it happen. Thanks for all your help

"Marcus is one helluva Rep"

Marcus is one helluva Rep. Full stop. When he sold me in Shift4 I grilled him. He knew his product and he knew the value. He has provided terrific subsequent support and we decided to add a new unit recently in part because of our good experience. Kudos y’all. Thx Marcus!
