We transitioned to Shift4 in the middle of a month, which was very stressful. But our rep Marcus was a tremendous help - from always responding and willing to jump on a call to constantly communicating to make sure the transition was seamless. He definitely made the transition easier!

Scam company they lie to you upfront to get you to sign then eff you with amended changes hidden where you won’t see them. Then charge you absurd cancellation fees to escape their literal hell they bestow on you. Richard Fischer is an evil man who preys on people who have issues with square. RUN!

They will lie about anything to get you on board. THERE IS A CONTRACT when you sign up. I was told there was no contract and you can cancel anytime. Later to find out there was a contract and early termination fees when canceling. Awesome!!

I would never use Shift4 again....they are crooks locking businesses into long term contracts then charging them forever fees even if the business no longer uses their services. After 2 years I tried to cancel but they charged me $456 for the privilege of not being charged for zero services.

Shift4 and Skytab are under developed processing in the market. Great sales people to sell you the equipment with zero follow through other than getting overcharged. Watch the small print because they change you bill cycle on a dime.

They will charge you cancelation fees no matter what they tell you upfront. Your contract reups every year on a certain date and if you do not cancel on that exact date, you get charged the rest of the year. They do also charge yearly fees for this company which is not told to you upfront either. They hide a lot of things from you to get your business, there are better companies out there.

Average at best but has lots of potential if you can get the employee training needed to get traction regarding the software. Our tech canceled last minute and then wanted to come the day he called to cancel. When we couldn’t meet this with such short notice the tech said he would call us back and never did. Then a tech just shows up with no appointment to train employees not even knowing if who we needed trained was available. Exceptionally unprofessional in my opinion with a lack of customer care. I am only looking from a training and software functionality perspective since that is my field. This sets the bar of what we will be dealing with for the duration of our partnership. I would suggest you research them throughly with proven customer reviews. We have been open since mid February 2024 and are just now getting any traction at all with the promised training so this was a huge disappointment. As far as the cost, I do not know if it is within reason, or not, but recommend before you go with them that all options are explored with at least three who compare in technology and rank well in customer care.
