The quote was for £1388 but when I rang it elevated to over £1700
This is not how business is conducted.
This was the one and only time I will look at this company, was kept waiting on and off for about half an hour, in fairness the operator was well mannered and following the script and procedures of a shoddy outfit.
When the response below states 'we are sorry to hear...' we also know this is rubbish and insincere, as I am not the only one with this opinion yet.... nothing has changed.

Avoid this company at all costs! The service I received from Quote Detective was absolutely horrendous. There is no proper customer support—only phone calls, with no live chat or website assistance, which is unacceptable in this day and age.

I took out a policy based on a quote that included a second driver, but despite entering all details during the online process, the second driver was never added, and I never received any confirmation. Because of this, I had to cancel my policy on the first day, which severely affected my business, as my vehicle is essential for work.

To make things worse, despite cancelling within the 14-day cooling-off period, they still charged me a broker commission fee, even though my £1,024 deposit was paid from my own account—not borrowed from the broker. No installments had even started, so there is no reason for this charge.

This company is a complete scam. I feel robbed, and I will be taking legal action. Stay away from this insurance provider!
