I was very pleased to find that this store sold exactly what I wanted at a retail price I was happy with (Amazon is 3x the price). I stocked up. I bought 30 pkgs. The shipping took about 2 weeks which I live in a very rural area and it even takes Amazon a week to ship to me. So I wasn’t upset. I got them and they weren’t damaged.
I will definitely be purchasing a lot more from them.

Returning is much more complicated than other carriers. I bought a hotpot cooker but was denied for returning due to no original package.

"Confusing Expiration Date & Poor Return Policy – Disappointing Experience"
I recently bought bread from Yami, and the expiration date on the package is formatted as dd/mm/yy, which is confusing, especially since the typical format in the U.S. is mm/dd/yy. This led to some understandable confusion. When I tried to return the product (unopened, of course), I was told by customer service that they don't process returns for food unless there’s a quality issue. Fair enough, but their return policy isn't made clear on the product page, and that’s something that should be communicated upfront.
It’s frustrating to see a company so dismissive of customer concerns, especially when I’m just trying to get some clarity on a simple issue.
Yami’s return policy is a joke, and they clearly don’t care when they lose a customer.

Do not buy anything from this store! If you want to return anything, they will charge you 15% restocking fee. When you starts the return process, they would never tell you this until you pay your own shipping and ship the product back.

Their customer service is so mean and made a sarcastic tone like they are talking to a poor / who can not afford their product tone. SO disgusting and does NOT offer a refund option when all package is untouched.

My personal experience with Yamibuy.com has always been very positive in the past year I have ordered from them. Most of the items I ordered are Japanese items with expiration dates clearly shown on their website. No other online companies that I know of provide this information. Their price can be expensive but are actually quite competitive compared to the brick and mortar local Asian grocery stores in my area. They offer many items not available in the D.C. area.

Delivery was thrown on my driveway---right beside the sidewalk and street. However, my front door and porch were 15 feet away. Why pay for goods that are stolen?

DO NOT EVEN CONSIDER!! RUN AWAY ASAP!!! I never even bought anything from them but I put my email for the checkout cart since I had consideration of buying certain product. I ended getting bombarded by promotional materials. I attempted their unsubscribe steps but I continue to receive marketing materials.
This should be considered business malpractices and should be severely fined.
