Check if your travel agency is using this airline before you buy the tour - Stay far away, I have traveled for 50 years with various companies, this is the bottom, I don't think it will get any lower.
When we first arrived at check-in, we could only check 1 piece. suitcase in, we went to the counter and it turned out that we were entitled to 20kg. but it had to be in one suitcase, so 1 piece. A shared suitcase for the wife and I, I've never heard of that before, what I haven't seen on TV and at airports about responsibility for the contents of one's suitcase, that it is allowed to share a suitcase in customs terms is incomprehensible, when you think about how many naive young people have been lured into messing around with their own suitcase, it is incomprehensible that you now have to share suitcases, well we have been married for many years and that is not a concern we have, just completely incomprehensible, so we left 110€ poorer and we were not the only ones who had to pay for suitcases in expensive judgments. On the way home we got to the airport with the travel agency's bus in good time, again there were problems with the suitcases, even though the wife's suitcase could be brought as hand luggage, it was counted as a suitcase and we were only allowed to bring one, so we had to pack all the contents into the one suitcase we had, which could fit into the cabin-sized box, which now weighed 11 kg, about half of our suitcase weight limit, but time was running out for us, so we got to the gate 30 seconds into the quarter of an hour we were supposed to be there before departure, so it was fine, but no - no - they were already finding our one suitcase on the plane to take it off, since they didn't want us on board, now that we were 30 seconds late, it took almost 5 minutes for them to desperately look for our suitcase on the plane, so we couldn't get on, but when after 5-6 minutes they still couldn't find the suitcase, we were still allowed to board and the delay they didn't have, because they took off on time, was of course our fault, besides that, there is NO service on board, you can buy a few small things like water and something edible. I'm 175 cm 80 kg and I almost had to use shoehorns to get into the seat, it won't get any lower - never again.

Da vi først ankom til indcheck, kunne vi kun checke 1 stk. kuffert ind, vi gik til skranken og det viste sig at vi havde ret til 20kg. men det skulle være i èn kuffert, altså 1 stk. fælles kuffert for fruen og jeg, det har jeg aldrig hørt om før, hvad jeg ikke har set på TV og i lufthavne om ansvar for indholdet i ens kuffert, at det toldmæssigt er tilladt at dele kuffert er ubegribeligt, når man tænker på hvor mange naive unge, der er lokket til at smule med deres egen kuffert, er det jo uforståeligt at man nu må have dele kufferter, nåh vi har været gift i mange år og det er jo ikke en bekymring vi har, kun totalt uforståeligt, så 110€ fattigere kom vi så afsted og vi var ikke de eneste, der skulle betale kufferter i dyre domme. På vej hjem kom vi til lufthavnen med rejsebureauets bus i god tid, igen var der problemer med kufferterne, selv om fruen kuffert kunne komme med som håndbagage, blev det regnet som kuffert og vi måtte kun have èn med, så vi måtte pakke alt indholdet over i den ene kuffert vi havde, som kunne passe ned i cabinestørrelses kassen, som nu vejede 11 kg, omkring halvdelen af vores kuffert-vægt grænse, men tiden løb lidt fra os, så vi kom til gaten 30 sekunder inde i det kvarter, vi skulle have været der før afgangen, så det gik jo nok, men nej - nej - de var allerede ved at finde vores ene kuffert på flyet, for at tage den af, da de ikke ville have os med, nu vi kom 30 sekunder for sent, der gik næsten 5 minutter med at de desperat ledte efter vores kuffert på flyet, så vi ikke kunne komme med, men da de efter 5-6 minutter stadig ikke kunne finde kufferten, fik vi alligevel lov til at gå ombord og den forsinkelse, de ikke havde, for de lettede til tiden, var selvfølgelig vores skyld, udover det, er der INGEN service ombord, jo du kan købe et par småting som vand og et eller andet spiseligt.Jeg er 175 cm 80 kg og jeg skulle næsten bruge skohorn for at komme ned i sædet, det bliver ikke lavere - aldrig igen.

"Decent economy airline"
Decent economy airline, you pay for flight, luggage separately, food separately. No surprises which I like. Flew with them about 10 times, and will continue to do so. Good service and very nice and polite team.
Also, which I really appreciate they wait for you if their connection flight is late.

"First time on Play and will fly them again"
First time flying this airline and I was impressed. It was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, the seats were nice (not all recline, unfortunately) and the WC were clean. Our return flight had reclining seats, and also charging ports. There are no freebies, so anything you want to eat or drink you either bring on with you, or you can purchase on the plane. Booking was not difficult, but I would like the ability to use my TSA PreCheck. Did not see where I could use my KTN. Overall, I thought it was a very nice airline and I would definitely use them again.

Flights on time; crew & ground personnel professional and nice; plane clean and comfortable (for a "budget airline" impressively so); connecting through Keflavik is easy and interesting; great value for money in travel.

"A very enjoyable flight"
The online instructions for reserving tickets, for the extras to be purchased or not, and for check-in are simple and straightforward. I enjoyed not having screens everywhere and being able to rest.
Two suggestions:
Although I am short in stature, the leg-room was quite small in the back of the plane.
Water should be available free of charge.

Jeg vil på det kraftigste anbefale alle, aldrig at booking en flyvning med dette selskab. Vi booker en familietur til Island fra Aalborg kun for at annullere denne kort inden afgang så vi skal booke en rejse til markant højere pris fordi de er så tæt på afrejse: jeg kommer aldrig til at booke et billet hos dem igen

"Fly any other airline, not PLAY"
Was supposed to fly April 2024, had a medical situation and could not leave the country. Could change ticket for additional 400$+. Flew 04/02/2025, no accommodation for handicap, rude indifferent staff. Seats that were like sitting on concrete. When my digital boarding pass didn’t work and security sent us back to the counter I once again interacted with rude staff who insisted I pay for passes. Then she grabbed my phone like I was an idiot, then when she couldn’t retrieve the passes she printed them out no charge. That should have happened the minute we returned to the counter and she was some sort of lead personnel. On our return flight with two kids behind me kicking the seat for 6.5 hour the staff was more interested in selling things than seeing to anyone’s comfort. This experience was the absolute worst flying experience in my life. How about a refund?

"First Timer"
I recently flew with PLAY Airlines and overall had a positive experience. The aircraft was clean and well-maintained, and the flying itself was smooth from takeoff to landing. On my outbound flight, we even arrived earlier than scheduled, which was a pleasant surprise. The return trip took the expected amount of time with no delays.
I purchased a seat in the first row, which was well worth it. The extra legroom made the flight much more comfortable, especially for a low-cost carrier. The seats were decently cushioned and supportive for the length of the flight.
The cabin crew was friendly and accommodating, always ready to assist passengers. However, they were engaged in frequent conversations among themselves throughout the flight, which made it difficult to rest or sleep, especially on a night flight.
One area I think PLAY could improve is lighting on evening or overnight flights. The cabin lights remained on for most of the flight, making it hard to sleep or relax. Dimming the lights would create a much more restful atmosphere for passengers during late flights.
A big plus was their online chat support. I had a few questions prior to my flight, and the communication was quick, easy, and helpful. It’s great to see an airline providing efficient support that’s actually accessible.
Overall, if you’re looking for a no-frills but reliable budget airline with modern planes and good customer support, PLAY is a solid option. Just be prepared with your own sleep essentials if you’re flying at night.

"Flight cancelled in Paris"
Flight cancelled in Paris, bad communication from the airline, still waiting to get compensation from play 4 months after the cancellation in Paris. Never again.
