"Endure Hell or give up my money to Airline"

I'm so miserable. I'm a 49 year old man who was to go to the USA in December for my 50th birthday party.

We are a diverse group, gay, straight, black, Asian, and so on and so on etc.

So, as Fascism becomes the norm in the US, my friends have all bailed on me. Can't blame them, it's not safe for any of us to travel there under the current monster.

So now the airline, Play, my cheaper choice is taking advantage of my dire birthday plans.

1) it refuses to help
2) should I cancel, they want 100% of the base fares, plus all extra fees, for nothing. Not even a slight loss to airline, just pure profit, don't even need to fly me anywhere!
3) They will refund the APD element only, which of course they don't pay if I don't fly.

Nope, they won't do a thing, they are happy for a 50 year old camp gay black man to enter New York City and face off with the TSA.

The base fares are £13 to KEF and £81 to NYC and Play are determined to have the lot. All of this impending war for that plus their little extras shall we say.

They are aware as I'm flying from the UK that the latest UK FCO advice has been downgraded to warn people of the rise of hatred of gays and coloured etc throwing people who talk about POTUS47 in a negative way can end up in detention centres or worse. I've stated this means I'm legally entitled to refund but hey, no dice with the people who are determined to drag me, alone, to fascist USA under the orange hand pumped yogurt rifle.

Play want every penny of both fares. 100% percent of all extras are to be enjoyed by the airline. No matter what.

I'm writing yo the FCO and the CAA and will be writing on every platform I can find.

The very least I can do.

Great first experience with Play. Not only is the aircraft spotless and the staff friendly, but we took off exactly on time and landed 45 minutes earlier both ways! Keep up the good work, Play.

horrible, customer service is non existent. They cancelled my flight, refused assistance at airport counter and refereed to email or fakebook messenger, unresponsive on both platforms.

"unpleasant Booking "

Booking was difficult, rebooking-reconfirming not better but even worse, cheking in at the airport terribly messi, self booking machines with no paper and not even advicing/telling no paper but just dead, carry on cabin bagage stoped at the gate asking for 750 Dkk., simply shameful boarding receiption!!!

"The staff are helpful and patient"

The staff are helpful and patient, I travel as the only adult with my two children and once with my elderly parents and my 2 children. If any issues occur, there is always someone to help. For example, they took extra time to assist with getting us through the boarding gates when our passes didn’t print out and only appeared as 5 separate emails which required me to locate each boarding pass and hand my phone across the gate to each individual member of our family at several stops in the airport- for gates, purchases, food, etc., Play staff printed out passes at the final gate so we could board faster. The in flight staff are also amazing and entertaining- I think we may have been on the flight with the previous poster as our crew was very humorous as well. My father was impressed that at 6’2” he had plenty of leg room and was not cramped even when the person in front of him- that was me- reclined the seat. We do pay the extra for the extra leg room- well worth it! I go from Stewart to Iceland twice yearly and always fly Play. I hope to get one of those gorgeous long red puffer coats one day, lol.

Play has no surprises. What you see is what you get - efficient, friendly staff. Our last trip was amusing with a running comedic commentary by the head flight attendant through the safety briefing.

Prima service, vriendelijk personeel en een goede klantenservice. Dit was mijn eerste keer dat ik met Play heb gevlogen, maar zou meteen weer met hen vliegen.

"Flight crew"

Flight crew, friendly and provided excellent service. The both flights were on time. Good value for money.
