"Generic and missing key issues"

Had a level 2 survey done for house we were buying. Report missed completely failed conservatory seal visible from ground level, we noticed it as soon as we moved. We thought it might have happened in the time between the survey and completion but looking at the photos in the survey it can be seen. Overall the survey felt very cookie cutter, highlighting very non-serious that almost all building have, while missing more serious issues that this house had.

Very surprised how fast the report came back and they could fit us in at quite short notice also, some very usefull information to look into now. I would in no way ever have thought of looking into a Chancel check, but as our purchase is close to a church thats a great point, thanks for that. Great company, highly recommended.

Having paid them £1,100 for a survey and based on the findings withdrew my offer on the property I have been contacted today by Charters Reid asking for my permission to allow them to sell the report I paid for to the estate agent involved

You contacted me asking if I would give my permission to “sell” the survey to the agent handling the property You use the wording “re/issue” in your response which is totally different
My disappointment is that you wanted to sell the survey on to the estate agent involved A survey that had already been paid for by myself
When I asked if I could sell it on I was told by your office that I couldn’t

WE were looking for a great surveyor for our very bespoke property purchase. We chose Carters-Reid because of the high numbers of recommendations that were apparent through this review page. WE were NOT disappointed.
Paul was enthusiastic about our property, he had clear knowledge and experience and gave us his honest opinion. He gave us a list of future actions in priority order.
