"Don't get robbed by Guardian Protection"
i am sorry for plagiarizing a user (YOLO username) in a previous post about this company but it said almost everything i wanted to say.
Worst company in the business. I mean these guys are supposed to help you from getting robbed but by what robbing you In the process? The worst cameras ever they never work. I spend hours on hours talking to costumer service to have them tell me they can’t do anything and then they will send someone out to your house that’s 150 dollars a hour that doesn’t know what’s wrong so you end up with 900 dollar bill to replace one camera. Then weeks later have another issue where all the cameras don’t work. Run from this company. I’m so mad and frustrated.
Seriously if you ever did anything smart in your life you would go to brink or vector. I’ve had both these in the past and never had any issues. On a positive note the basic alarm is decent. So I if you need a basic alarm there not as bad , but ar the same time I would never want to support a company like this … take you $ else where’s.
end of the previous post and here was I feel the need to add...Sorry about the length.
I bought in Randolph NJ and spent a fortune with Guardian and got top-of-the-line everything and the CAMERAS never worked and was never confident in the alarm enough and I never used it once which I have told them to repeatedly check their own records.
The stress of trying to fix it was immense....TWO FULL DAYS of taking a system that was previously pre-wired up in a brand new unit and they had to come and put repeaters and then hardwiring for a wireless system. Needless it never worked. I continued to pay for years and was very unhappy but couldn't deal with this awful company. Some people were nice but their policies were draconian.
Even though I am getting collection notices and harassing power calls on my cell phone AFTER I disputed the debt.
They have violated the federal FAIR DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES ACT many times. I am still getting alerted to an alarm status I sold in APRIL so I think i am being informed that my old house isn't protected by their alarm because it isn't set? If you bought a house from me would you want me to know the status of your alarm on a house I no longer own?
all I wanted from Guardian was to waive the last months I was under contract since the day i sold the house and I even tried to give them the info to the new homeowner. I am mailing today that they have a possible security issue where others can know their alarm/house security status.
I am thinking about a class action if there are others similarly situated. I am considering during them for the entire system since it has never been used and their records will support that.
So the person above said to run from Guardian security and they had a much better experience than me.
When are companies going to treat people with some common sense.
They have no easy way to email or contact them/resolve issues. reminds me of trying to cancel AOL in the old days.
They send out bullying messages and say you can not respond to this message or reply.
I called up to say I have a lawyer and will pursue other avenues in the event this cant be handled amicably.
I disputed the debt with them and i disputed the last few charges and they just aggregated the disputed and charged it again. Another violation. FTC, CFPB, FDCPA. All the letters of the alphabet.
i have to call another number or get transferred.
For 350 bucks this has been going on for years and I have been paying on time.
I imagine there are regional issues between installers and quality of service but the Randolph, NJ community all seemed pretty unhappy with the service.
THe only time i got any response from them is a complaint and then they waived some months of the problems early on in the contract. This home was supposed to be our final resting place but problems with builder and the alarm company sadly put a could over a really great area to move to.
IF anyone has similar issues maybe we should aggregate our efforts.
To quote the previous person, they are supposed to prevent you from getting robbed....While they rob every month.

"My old Guardian Protection system had a…"
My old Guardian Protection system had a problem connecting to the base. The technician Jason Mann came exactly on schedule, very efficiently changed the old wall tablet to a new one, checked all the connections inside the house, tested everything, explained extremely well the system to me and generally was extremely helpful, professional and efficient. I was very impressed.

I recently posted a short critique of Guardian. We have been having problems with our system for a number of years. After the post, I was contacted by Debbie in customer relations. She listened to our complaints and immediately sent out Richard the tech supervisor. Richard was a great guy and knew about our system inside and out. He realized the problems and brought in new equipment to correct our problems. The system is fast and really does everything that is was supposed to do. I have changed my opinion of Guardian and would recommend them to my friends and family

"Do NOT sign anything with this company"
I sold my house a month ago after paying for their service for 3 years. Had to pay a $750 early term fee just to sell my Home. Completely ridiculous that you have to pay for services no rendered and the discounts were not $750 or anywhere near that at service startup. I self- installed COVE at my new home and their server and pricing is spectacular with no contracts and same monitoring. Be WARNED, they are ripoff artists.

"Guardian onsite tech is awesome."
In a new home build and had an issue with my panel. Tech Anthony came out, diagnosed and replaced my panel then relearned all devices and adjusted my door bell camera. He was knowledgeable and very professional. Hope future experiences are just a nice.

"I have been waiting since 8 am this…"
I have been waiting since 8 am this morning for a technician. It is now after 2 still no tech, no phone call letting me know anything. I have called twice and this time I finally got a response of about 3 pm. My whole day wasted because no one could tell me a window of time. Totally unacceptable.

"Excellent Installer"
Installer was professional, courteous, pleasant and knowledgeable. Worked very cleanly and neatly. Took the time to make sure I understood the system and how it worked. A great representative for the company.

"Bottom line up front"
Bottom line up front. I don't feel safe. My wife won't let me cancel due to the early termination fee. Just some of the issue I have experience in 4 months. 1. Poor quality equipment. Camera quality is Poor. Door bell cam is partially blocked due to brick home. 2. Use of WIFI Extenders instead of WIFI Mesh. I lose my garage camera about 2 times a month. Wired installation of cameras was poorly installed. Just overall not satisfied. I would not recommend.
