I dealt with Ben who was brilliant. He went out of his way to assist me on the sale of a complex property with multiple issues. As a property developer I appreciated his professionalism and swift efficient service. 10 out of 10!

"Some good points but difficult to communicate with. "

While the company has good points, there are also some negatives. I had a property evaluation for an inherited property, and the initial estimate was fair, given the quick sale aspect. The following up, communication and the final offer were anything but fair. In addition, paperwork was sent to the incorrect addresses despite the instructions being clear.

I asked to be included in the conversations. Although all promises were made, I was excluded and ignored each time I asked for an update despite the agreement from all parties, including the executor.

The valuation occurred, and I feel they offered a significant lowball. How can you offer one initial estimate to offer a value below 40% initially quoted for sale? I know I was honest in my conversation with them about the property, and we had even cleared it and cleaned it for them, which would have made it easier for a developer/buyer, and that was not factored in. In addition, why would you cite prices from 2022 in your justification for a low value when it's 2025? Even the independent evaluation disagreed that the offer should be so low. Also, some of the justifications for the lowball were irrelevant, speaking as someone who has lived in the area previously, e.g. aeroplane noise, a private airfield infrequently used and unheard due to ocean and wind noise. The house was not in such a poor state of repair, nor were there walls falling down, etc, to justify such a reduction in price from the initial estimate.

I feel they could have been fairer or much more realistic in their initial offer rather than quoting old statistics. I will say there is an option to cancel a contract going forward, which is a bonus once the initial and final offers change. I recognize that this is a business and needs to make profit but you are also dealing with people some in difficult times of life that would allow for advantage to be taken. Please be aware going into this agreement they may not be as helpful as you hope they will be.

Smoothsale were brilliant at setting up and selling our home quickly as our previous sale fell through endangering the chain we were part of. They sold it with a week of it putting on sale and for example arranging 16 viewings on one day. From that multiple buyers were interested and we completed the whole process within 10 weeks.

Eimeren was the person who started the process and then post sale saw it through and was happy to answer our many questions and prompt at replying to any email queries we had and returning phone calls. She helped us through a couple of road bumps along the way and would not hesitate using SmoothSale again based on our experience with her.

When calling this company I was sceptical- as it was all new to me - trying to find a company I could trust - but from the moment I spoke to Charles he put me at ease and I felt comfortable. Charles talked me through what to expect etc and then I was passed on to Ben O’Brien - I agreed to let Smoothsale purchase my mums house. Ben put the wheels in motion in December - unfortunately we encountered a few hiccups, mainly my end, and then with the Christmas holidays it was delayed through no fault of Smoothsale - Ben worked so hard to accommodate any hurdles encountered with professionalism and courtesy, he either called or emailed me almost daily to keep me in the loop. Right from the start Ben assured me the sale would go through and he was right, he listened and was genuinely invested in the getting the right outcome keeping me updated on every step - he worked his socks off to achieve the sale albeit a complicated one!! Smoothsale exceeded my expectations- the whole team - Mackenzie was lovely and helpful when Ben was on the phone and kept me updated. Jack participated in the sale throughout and ensured a ‘smooth sale’. I couldn’t be more grateful - what a team - it cost me nothing to use them, they covered all expenses from start to finish, solicitors surveyors everything - highly recommended - I would definitely use them again in the future 5* service for everything! "We were a little sceptical and nervous…"

We were a little sceptical and nervous going into our sale with SmoothSale but our experience has been great! Mackenzie has been excellent throughout, his help, attention and general manner throughout could not have been better. The team have been helpful, transparent and managed to secure us a wealth of viewings and 3 offers on our home in just 2 months (with Christmas and New Year in the middle). There were one of two times where we had to chase for information or updates but this is the only remotely negative feedback I would be able to give.

I was so wary of using a quick sale company to sell our dad's home but there was no need with this company. We experienced some issues with the house we were selling but everyone at Smoothsale was honest and supportive, giving us as much advice as they could. Special shout out here to Dan! If you communicate openly and honestly with them, you truly get the same back. Once we secured a buyer, we were handed over to the lovely Sophie. So much reassurance and support throughout. Our sale was completed swiftly with minimal holdups. On one issue we were experiencing a delay, Sophie got involved and it was resolved quickly.
From someone who was dubious, this company delivered exactly what they said they would. Amazing service!!!

The speedy and efficient way in which my family home was sold was commendable- the whole process was a positive experience !
I was initially sceptical about selling my house on the internet but found that the extent of the advertising beyond my location was effective ! Thanks to Dan who initiated the sale and Sophie who was the person who saw the sale to a satisfactory conclusion! Well done to all those involved in selling my family home!
