Loans has been fast approved without appropriate checks.
When I've made complain about irresponsible lending, they seems to drag the whole process into Ombudsman level.

He was so professional and understanding and made me feel completely at ease he was very thorough in ensuring affordability which I felt was good practice from them as a company. "Once again Uncle Buck delays"
Shocking company can lend in a few moments but try getting them to pay what the FOS have upheld. Delay delay and delay they know that in the end they will have to pay they need to get on with it. They disagreed with the adjudicator who went back to them to clarify the situation 10th January it is now 6th February 3.5 weeks just sitting there on someone desk knowing full well that they will ask for it to go to the ombudsman this could have been decided within a week of the 10th January that they wanted it to go to the ombudsman. Obviously they have complete contempt for anyone who has their claim upheld. Maybe if they see this they would like to think again and get on with paying what they owe. I guess the same old answers will come back from them we are entitled yes you are but you have never stuck to any dates you have been told to reply by.

Firstly, I get no pleasure at all by leaving a review of this nature. I can confirm that I used Uncle Buck on numerous occasions back in 2012. I’m now approaching 13 months for my unaffordable / irresponsible lending claim to be resolved. It was submitted to Uncle Buck on the 9th January, 2019. My complaint was upheld on the 30th October, 2019 by an adjudicator, but no surprise that Uncle Buck disputed the findings. The complaint was then escalated to the Financial Ombudsman who also upheld it. It’s now been marked as “URGENT”, as due to ill health I’m out of work and facing eviction from my home. But still nothing received from Uncle Buck. You only use these companies when you're desperate and as a last resort, but in hindsight my advice would be to have a good look round first; there are many better companies than Uncle Buck, that provide a professional service and actually care about their customers.

Said I was approved and after several text messages and a good 45 mins trying to get through then finally spoke to someone asking for my pay slip ( my last pay slip was £4500 for the month for December) and then a shot of my bank card I was refused for £200 loan

Recently left review re hassle of uploading bank statements for new loan. They replied to review by asking to contact them to resolve. Just repeated what already said. Seems they rely with generic messages to look like they are actually going to do something about it. Poor show from a company I thought were ok

Awful company stubborn and thinks it does no wrong, extortionate interest rates cost the earth and cause hardship, left me in a desperate situation financially.
I took uncle buck to to the financial ombudsman adjudicator where they still argue there is no case poor lending practice, where I have proven there is they are stubborn and have a poor service as they believe the customer is always wrong.
The ombudsman found in my favour and they rejected it they have an above the law attitude and disregard for their customers.
I would avoid u uncle buck at all costs

"Quick" is not what I would describe this company as. It's one thing to question affordability, it's another to basically tell your customer that you aren't paying enough towards your credit commitments - this is not something that should be up for discussion. People apply for these "loans" due to unforeseen circumstances 99% of the time - this being one of them. Avoid at all costs if you want to discuss the ins and outs of your financial and personal life - their team couldn't give a monkey and enjoy belittling.

it is what it is an emergency loan facility.
rates are ok so expect to pay around 50% interest on the capital
it is not a cheap option but a safety net just in case
also worth considering if you can afford it to rebuild your credit rating
don't become reliant on such loans as you are not guaranteed to get them but they are an option
regarding the process it is quick and easy and any dealings i have had over the phone have been considerate and courteous.
I'd give 5 stars for the customer service if that was an extra option.
