"We will be back!"
We have had a good return ride from Amsterdam to Prague with our bicycles. Being able to sleep in a personal cabin was super. There is enough space and perfect hanging system for the bicycles in the special carriage. Yes some of the trains parts are old and the toilet door needs a big check up, but the personal on board were super friendly and welcoming us with drinks! we will be back!

"Erg comfortabel naar Praag gereisd"
Erg comfortabel naar Praag gereisd. Oke het is wat krap maar voor de prijs is het 100% de moeite waard.

"A bit dusty"
Liked the service in general, though plush upholstery was a bit dusty in the corners, and it was problematic to get a snack in the evening. Still, I wouldn't hesitate to use the train again.

"VERY high cost for a VERY poor sleeper train "

Sleepers – Triple carriage 3
This was the worst night train we took on our European adventure. The standard of accommodation was well below that advertised on their website.
The issues we encountered:
1. Insects all over the compartment, especially noticeable on the table
2. The compartment was very dirty and had not been cleaned properly
3. No working toilets in the carriage for the entire journey
4. Very strong stench from the faulty toilets filled the carriage
5. No air conditioning
6. No electric so unable to charge any of our devices
7. Severely understaffed train
8. Broken fixtures and fittings
I complained to the train manager and asked to be transferred to another carriage, but he said the train was full. He apologised for the standard of the compartment/carriage and arranged for the table to be cleaned. He said that he couldn’t clean the rest of the compartment as he didn’t have the equipment on board. He took some pictures and said that he would write a report.
We spent 3.5 weeks travelling around Europe and this was the lowest point of the trip by far.
The cost of the compartment was €237, this is 3 times higher than the cost of other sleepers we took this summer. While I appreciate it is a longer journey the standard was very poor. The sleeper trains in Hungary and Czech republic (Ljubliana – Budapest, €80 and Budapest – Prague, €87) were a third of the cost and the standard was so much higher.
I have travelled on sleeper trains all over the world and this sleeper is by far the worst.
I have emailed the customer service team to request a response/refund. Other than a bland apology from a customer service representative I have had no further communication about a refund.

"I genuinely admire the chutzpah of this…"
I genuinely admire the chutzpah of this company for providing a service that I’d have expected pre 1990s. Very old carriages that had the look and smell of ‘heritage carriages’. No sign of any air con in our couchette carriage despite it being promised on the website. 34 degrees when we boarded. Had to keep window wide open most of the night.
There were 2 plug sockets in our carriage but neither of them worked for the entire journey from Brussels to Prague. We had to trawl other carriages to find empty couchettes with working sockets (even then power was intermittent). No wifi.
Curtains to corridor were hanging off and wouldn’t close properly so no privacy overnight.
Two hours into the 16 hour journey the toilet stank. Pee all over the floor. I appreciate this can happen on any train but I’d expect the toilets on a hot crowded sleeper train to be cleaned at least hourly. I will say the toilet was a lot cleaner the following morning. There were also separate washbasins in each carriage which was good.
No food available to buy on board and just one small bottle of water per person (I understand a buffet car is planned from September 2024). Don’t waste your money on pre ordering breakfast - a box of bland UPF food. Buy your own before you get on board (even if it has to be UPF food that won’t go bad in the heat at least it’s cheaper).
Having said all that, we slept really well. The staff were amazing - very helpful. My son - a 20 year old rail enthusiast- loved every minute. If you enjoyed interrailing in the 1970s/80s you may find this an enjoyable nostalgic experience. For the price, I think it’s pretty ropey. Def not a 21st century rail experience.

"vriendelijke mensen, oud materieel"

"Horrible experience"
Horrible! A 'good night' class? More like a nightmare.
First impressions were terrible, a smelly and old creaky train from the 50s with the only option for air supply being a constantly open window.
Dirt under the seat, stains on the seats, the place for backpacks resembles more like the bottom of a garbage can.
Beds? No, more like just a seat, a backrest from the seat with places hard from the backrests. Okay, there are things here for sleeping, due to the lack of air, it's not really possible to sleep. Waking up with every passing of an oncoming train is unavoidable. And all the other carriages offered the same luxury, so paying extra doesn't help much.
Toilets? Maybe about 3 carriages away? In our carriage, none of them worked well, on one at least water was flowing, and next to it? One toilet worked, but the water wasn't flowing again.
In conclusion: Smell and dirt, completely inadequate hygienic conditions and lack of air and space, expensive travel for absolutely terrible services that will take you back at least 70 years.
No air conditioning, no Wi-Fi, two sockets for 6 people (when the electricity worked at all), non-functioning toilets, dirt and smell everywhere.
Thank you, but never again.
