Les lits étaient confortables, dommage que l'échelle soit devant la porte, cela gêne pour entrer ou sortir de la cabine. Sinon, le personnel était très agréable et serviable et le voyage s'est bien passé.

"I loved this night train"

I loved this night train, it was very comfortable and I met interesting people during the journey. I just regretted that there was no WiFi and that it was impossible to buy food. This is something that should be improved so that the European Sleeper deserves five stars.

"Topervaring met European Sleeper"

In het afgelopen jaar heb ik 4 x met European Sleeper gereisd tussen Praag en Brussel.
2 keer alleen en 2 keer met kinderen, telkens in een gedeelde coupé.

Het was steeds een aangename en voldoening gevende ervaring en ik plan om in de toekomst nog veel met European Sleeper te reizen! :-)

Goede punten:
1) gepassioneerd personeel die je vriendelijk te woord staat
2) de coupés waren altijd voorzien van lakens, kussens en water!
3) we zijn niet altijd op tijd "vertrokken", maar we zijn wel altijd op tijd toegekomen op onze bestemming! :-)
4) de 2 toiletten in ons wagon waren steeds proper en voorzien van voldoende toiletpapier

Werkpuntjes:
1) bij mijn laatste reis is de trein uit Praag met een halfuur vertraging vertrokken. En ook onderweg tussen Bad Schandau en Dresden hebben we zo'n 20 minuten stilgestaan. Tijdens de nacht is de vertraging dan weggewerkt en zijn we netjes op tijd aangekomen in Brussel. Gelieve over zo'n vertragingen/onvoorziene stops op het moment zelf te communiceren

2) een klassieker wat ook terugkomt bij andere reviews: de niet-of onvoldoelde werkende airco. Ja dit is niet zo leuk op het moment zelf (en ik vrees dat dit euvel zal blijven in afwachting van nieuwe wagons), maar je kan nog altijd het raam open zetten.
Bij de laatste reis begin Augustus 2024 was het ook gedurende de nacht te warm: we hebben het raam dan een beetje open gelaten en iedereen heeft oordopjes ingedaan! :-)
Tip: voorzie oordopjes om aan te kopen

En niet vergeten: reizen met de nachttrein is altijd een beetje avontuur, er zijn spontane en fijne ontmoetingen, je geniet van prachtige uitzichten bij zonsondergang- en opgang en je stapt telkens zorgeloos op en af op droomachtige plekken met als uitschieter het hoofdstation van Praag waarin wat verscholen het prachtige Art Nouveau café 'Fantova Kavárna' gelegen is ;-)

Ik kijk al uit naar het catering-wagon vanaf het najaar + naar nieuwe bestemmingen vanaf 2025!! :-)

"Beware of Last Minute Downgrades!"

Booked a private sleeper 5 months ago, got downgraded 2.5 hours before departure time to a couchette in a shared compartment. Decided to cancel and get full refund instead. Surely the service provider could give advance notice if the sleeper carriages are not available? This seems to be a frequent occurrence and not an extreme case anymore. Travellers beware!

It was a great experience and we slept really well. The carriage we were in was unfortunately very old and it was not very clean. The bins were still full from other guests and there were no towels.
But the staff was very nice and we enjoyed our trip.

The exact experience as promised.
Sleep comfortably as you reach your destination. Couchettes were reasonably comfortable with a bedsheet, blanket and pillow provided.
Staff was friendly and helpful. And the train was on time without delays. Will definitely recommend and travel again. We need more Sleeper Trains!

in the coupe was cold,it was not possible to change the temperature. We changed the coupe with problems and it was the other way around.it was out of order the air condition.

"They call it a 4-person compartment but it's for 5?"

We booked 4 couchettes (Brussels-Berlin) in a 4-person compartment assuming it would be just us (2 adults and 2 teens) and... the compartment was for 5?? Why call it a 4-person compartment? When I questioned it, i was told I should have booked a 'private' compartment but maybe the website (and booking reservation) need to be clearer?
Also, no A/C so left the window open but so loud we had to eventually shut it and roast instead! and half the curtains were missing so EVERY time we crossed or stopped in a station it was like daylight again! Take a sleep mask if you can!
It was an adventure but not sure we will do it again ;-) (and the arrival at 6am in Berlin is brutal!!)
