"You can't complain over the service....part two."

So, for those of you who read the first part, here's the follow-up. I managed to in touch with a worker in costumer care at GLS via email and she very kindly explained to me that the reason why they hadn't delivered my parcel was due to lack of an eircode for my address. I immediately emailed her my eircode and my phone number just in case the driver would like to give me a call. Got an answer back that they would deliver the following day. Next day waiting and at 1400 hours I thought I'd better try and call them, well at least their phones were open today. Got hold on a costumer care worker after been on hold for 37 minutes only to be told that the parcel still was in their depot and most likely would be delivered the following day. So in order to be able to work myself I jumped in to my van and drove the 55 minutes to their depo and two very nice youg lads found my parcel straight away an happy days. When I got it I discovered that on the parcel was my full address and my phone number, yes there was not a full eircode but if you have the address you can look up the eircode in the eircode app or the simple solution, they could have given me a call which in my case would have saved me for two days with no work and a nearly two hours drive. I'm now going to write my supplier that if he continues using GLS I will find me another supplier. I wish GLS the best of luck in the future because they really need all the luck they can get.

"Once again a retailer has chosen to use…"

Once again a retailer has chosen to use this awful delivery company for one of my orders. The tracking website NEVER indicates a delivery date. Four days since dispatch from France and the last tracking was 48 hours ago in France. I suspect next track will be in Dublin - WHERE and what route/shipping service do they use - 48 hours ?!?! to cross from France to Ireland - and at best five days to deliver France to Ireland - I will no longer buy from retailers using GLS as their delivery partner.

"Limerick to Carlow and can't manage it on time"

Limerick to Carlow and can't manage it in 2 days when it's supposed to be over night delivery. Doesn't inspire confidence and it making the company that trusted them with their product look bad too. All round not good.

"Absolutely beyond hopeless"

Absolutely beyond hopeless, Tracking showed out for delivery, it never arrived but recieved an email at 10pm to say couldn't be delivered as reception was closed, Duh the gate was closed but there is a sign on it pointing to the post box, rang to enquire why parcel wasn't left to be told by someone who couldn't care less that the drivers put that if they run out of delivery time promised priority delivery next day, guess what ? no parcel but same message, finally turned up after over a week of GLS recieving it, seems if you dont live in Dublin it's pot luck when or if your parcel gets to you !

"Avoid Avoid Avoid "

Having purchased a tyre in January from tyreleader, a company with an abysmal aftersales service, I discovered that the tyre was the wrong size and was told by tyreleader that GLS couriers would pick up the tyre from my location and return it to them. GLS picked up the tyre later on in January but tyreleader kept emailing me saying that the had not received the tyre. Yesterday 13th March i arrived home to find the tyre left outside my gate with no note or no attempt to contact me. Tyreleader and GLS really compliment one another as it is difficult to figure which is the most incompetent one. Please do not use this courier service if at all possible

"Sent parcels to Poland and Portugal"

Sent parcels to Poland and Portugal. After 2 weeks they are still in a sorting centre in Germany. I asked customer service and they told me "still on the way to Ireland" When you tell them they are not going to Ireland they reply "oh yes, they are on the way to Poland/Portugal" So they dont even bothing to look up on the tracking whats going on,

"At the moment I give it 1 -star "

At the moment I give it 1star -max. This company is a joke , I ordered from Spain to Ireland on February 10 (sports stuff) the sender gave GLS my parcel on the 18th Feb and it still hasn't arrived... it's been stuck in Germany since the end of February. In Roman Empire times they would have delivered my parcel faster on foot than this company (by bus, plane 🤦🏻‍♂️) it will soon be a whole month since I ordered it and they have no idea where my parcel is.

"Avoid at all costs!!"

Tracking number shows the parcel stuck in Germany for the last four days. When I contacted GLS customer support, I was informed that the parcel cannot be located and that they will start a search, but it may take up to nine working days to locate it! My God! How is this courier company still in business! Scandalous!
