"The course is easy to follow "

The course is easy to follow and there is plenty of opportunities for assistance along the way if you need it. The course also provides you with a ton of outside resources that will be helpful on your new journey!

"As someone with a Bachelor's degree in…"

As someone with a Bachelor's degree in English and nearly 50 years' experience working for major clients writing and publishing marketing materials in all formats, I am embarrassed to say I trusted your come-ons.
I signed up while I was recovering from a Total Knee Replacement Operation. I guess I should have had a "total brain replacement" too. In any event, before the clock runs out on the 14 days, please refund the total monies I have paid.
(Oh. and you have a typo in one section of your rules -- please note that individual situations can vary. Therefore, the information should be relied upon when coordinated with individual professional advice. The "not" is missing.)

"A good foundation."

I think this is a great introduction for someone that is already inclined to find errors in everything. Getting a certification and access to the job portals has value. I recommend this course.

"An Excellent Choice to Improve or Refine Your Proofreading Skills"

Proofread Anywhere's General Proofreading course is great for anyone who needs to either brush up on their English knowledge or needs a comprehensive introduction to the material. All the exercises are curated for the success of the student, and if you follow all their instructions and do all the practice worksheets and essays they provide, you can pass their exam easily, as I did. They also include lessons about using your proofreading knowledge as a freelancer, both how to promote yourself and how to account for health insurance and taxes as a freelancer.

I'm giving four instead of five stars for now because I cannot speak for the usefulness of the course material about becoming a freelancer, since I haven't started that phase of my career yet.

"Haven't completed course"

I haven't completed the course but so far I love the instructions. They are easy to understand and very practical. The only reason I didn't give the course 5 stars is because I haven't completed it so I am not sure how effective it will prove to be but, I am confident it will.

"The Perfect Combo"

At my age, taking on a new course like this was a bit of an undertaking. But the support I received from everyone, including in the FB group, was absolutely awesome. Not to mention the different avenues of continued success you are given after you pass. It can be a scary thing to start something from scratch. But now that I have made it this far with it, I have realized a lot about myself. The entire experience has honestly been the perfect combo for me, personally. I will recommend this course to as many people as I can along the way. And THANK YOU to the entire team and all of those that help to make this course great.

"good course"

I'm finished the grammar and punctuation modules and am about to move on to the business modules of th General Proofreading course. Much of what I've done so far was already familiar to me, but the review was worthwhile and there were details I didn't know. Everything was well-presented and I found the worksheets and quizzes useful. I'm looking orward to completing the course, and hoping that it contains information I can apply to setting up a business.

"Not cost effective"

In reading the other negative comments, I saw common threads; the information imparted is not worth the money charged. The FB group is overly dramatic. The tests are graded eratically. Results were not what was expected. etc.

Some things I didn't like about the infomercial I viewed: I had to tap on two different screens for course pricing, which would go up by $100 if the page were closed; The $600+ price tag was not addressed in the presentation. This is likely so the presentation is usable for several years without havng to change it. Changeable or not, I'm NOT able to afford this - a "course" that lasts approximately 30 days from an unaccredited school costing $600. The approximate credit-hour cost from the brick-and-mortar, accredited Old Dominion University in Virginia is around $300. And that course lasts for approximately 4.5 months. Just a little disparity. While I understand the company needs to make money, it seems a bit much for a home/internet-based program which may, or may not, even have an office, let alone an entire campus.

As this is a proofreading introduction, one would think the verbage used during the infomercial would also be grammatically correct. Among other irritating points, Caitlin repeatedly used "wanna" in the presentation and also hurried along to where some of her verbage sounded blended together or swallowed. The 8 question "test" questons were put up for mere fractions of a second. One is barely able to read the text in that time, let alone spot any mistakes. She also kept on about confidence, assuming no-one is self confident.

Also, in the ad for the infomercial, several questons were asked regarding proofreaading in other countries. The responses were that the course is only availability for U.S. audiences. That being the case, why are several of the staff patently NOT from the United States? Could that be why some of the test results were graded inconsistantly? People who's first language is not American English may have different grammar rules, thereby not realizing they've made a mistake in grading an American English paper.

All in all, this does not appear to be a good fit for me, nor for many or most others.
