Tracking via the supplied Yodel App says that this order has been successfully delivered, It has NOT.

I have made numerous attempts to contact Monport UK, but my emails are unanswered and when I have tried phoning the aftersales support lines, all I get is a "voice box is full" message.

Absolutely shocking customer service and I am resigned to get my money refunded with my credit card.

"Please beware... Do your research prior to buying!"

I purchased an 80 watt CO2 laser with 24' X 16" working bed.
The first issue I had was with shipping. The site stated 3 day shipping when I purchased plus the price was amazing. The two main reasons I purchased this unit.
Shipping actually took 3 weeks. Granted, it was supposed to be shipped from Washington State and I live in Tennessee.
Unit arrived, container was beat up in spots but unit was well packaged. Only a scratch across the top.
Easy to hook up and get running.

Second issue, unit supposed to be 24" X 16" bed. Unit is configured for 600mm X 400mm (23.6" in X 15.75" actually) So when I try to open up the parameters in Lightburn, (609.6mm X 406.4mm) the unit will not run because I've exceeded it's working threshold. Try to change the values in the controller and you need a password. Contacted Monport to get password. Nope, they can't give it to me. (Did internet search and found several passwords but none of them are correct)
The service representative siad "it's just a half inch difference, that's not a problem."
It is to me, it's not what I thought I was buying.
Third issue...
The red dot laser that shows path. Cheap cheesy cat toy! You really need it if you wish to utilize the pass-through functions. I found an AWESOME red dot that goes on the end of the laser tube and projects the dot in the exact same path as the laser. Only issue, it's battery operated.
SO I figured I would simply power it from the source of the cat toy since I wasn't going to use it.
Contacted service for a copy of the schematics for the machine I Bought.
Nope. That's proprietary and cannot be released. Are you kidding me???

Mechanically, functionally, it's a decent machine. But if you want any assistance technically.... Forget it!

So I had a reply to my review asking for email address and name so they can check the order status, so supplied the information in an edited review as they had not answered 4 previous emails, and up to now they have not replied to the information I have given.

Why you choose to ignore customers time after time is beyond me. You could be miles ahead of Omtech if you used their customer service model.
I only wish I had found the following site before I went ahead with the purchased. bbb.org and search Monport complaints.
I am beginning to believe that MonportUK is just a name as I can find no address for it. 3/7 day delivery is just a hook to catch you, when they probably ship from China.

So MonportUK will you try to redeem yourself with some satisfactory customer service?

"onyx 55w laser experiences"

I ordered a new onyx 55w laser with the fume extractor added. For a few weeks, the only reply I received was "we don't have any at the warehouse yet". Then Monport sent me an email asking for a review. I pointed out that I couldn't do a review because it had been three weeks and the warehouse apparently had no lasers. About two hours later, I received an email with a tracking number.

Set up was pretty easy, just plugging in a couple of cords and setting up the fume extractor.

I'm not finding a lot of help online. Still haven't figured out how to turn on the laser to see where exactly it is pointing. Didn't come with a camera and so I'm just sorta eyeballing and guessing alignment and exact laser location.

The errors - your light on top of the machine starts blue, turns green when it is running, and turns red when there is an error. What is the error? Who knows? You have to buy some extra gear, drill a hole or two into the casing of the laser, connect the extra gear (not sure if you have to solder anything), and THEN you can find out what the errors are.

I've reported errors that I'm having in certain situations (error in this case = light turns red and refuses to do anything). I've listed the troubleshooting steps I've taken and the next few email replies will be them asking me to do the troubleshooting tasks that I've already informed them that I've taken.

So, some few things are fairly self-evident with the laser. So, I can do very simple tasks. Using lightburn in ways that work for every youtuber and everyone on my discord - often results in just the red light coming on.

I would love to figure out this laser, as the past five weeks have been a tad frustrating.
