RJ Petruso has done a great job from the first appointment. I quickly gained full confidence in their abilities to diagnose and prescribe the hearing aids for me, and proceeded to supply me with the proper instruments. They have been there for me without question each time I had any issues, no matter how small in nature.

Although some erratic difficulties initially with charger unit, and some interruption of audiology service continuity due to retirement of audiologist, the office who assumed the practice did promptly and professionally follow through to resolve my problem and Starkey company did make good on its equipment. I had previously used another brand of hearing aids and the superiority of my Starkey aids is a definite improvement

Don't like needing hearing aids, but since I have to, the Starkey aids do help a lot. Comfortable and discrete, after a short time, don't realize they are in.

"Halo IQ"

My hearing loss is not sever but the Halo IQs are bringing in the missing higher frequencies. I am more aware of my surroundings. I also like the Android App. Only drawback is that they do not stream phone and music via android as they do with Apple devices.

These expensive devices while improving certain aspects of my hearing, did not improve and in fact diminished my ability to hear in noisy environments. Any claims of background noise reduction are exaggerated to say the least.

The Bluetooth function is virtually unusable since it interferes with the Bluetooth function in both of my vehicles one being a Honda and one being a BMW. In addition the Bluetooth function dramatically reduces your battery life.

The control module is primitive and does not hold a charge long enough. Also, the directional feature is extremely limited in value.

The devices do improve my hearing in quiet environments. Unfortunately, I don't need much help in that environment.

I would recommend Starkey to anyone. The customer service from Dr. Zimmerman and her staff in Augusta, Maine has been terrific. The app on my iPhone, however, is horrible. This was an attractive feature when I bought the hearing aids but does not "recognize" my hearing aids more than once or twice a month. Very disappointing.

"My Starkey Muse hearing aids…an honest assessment."

My Starkey Muse hearing aids are an improvement over my previous aids, primarily owing to now having sound level adjustment as well as the choice of programs to fit the hearing environment. My hearing remains compromised in certain situations, restaurants, for example, and have given up attending functions in large auditoriums as the echo in that environment negates adequate hearing.
