"They basically sell trash"
Very deceptive photos and pretty much all items I have bought here have been damaged or broken in some way. DO NOT BUY unless attending in person and you get to test and look over the product properly. They will do everything in their power to mislead you intentionally and not make it obvious when something has a glaringly obvious issue. Basically glorified trash sellers. Your better of going to the local tip.

"The most incompetent customer service…"
The most incompetent customer service in the world. After contacting told to fill in a form.....which is hidden in the website then to be told next day item cannot be found, packed over a week ago but not with courier and will need to be investigated. Give a refund as requested on your form because the CS is unable to raise an issue and sort out your mess

"Be very very careful..."
So I have used John Pye several times in the past and generally speaking I'm prepared to take risks by purchasing based on online pictures shared and it has been an ok experience overall, recently I decided to bid on a dishwasher based on the front picture which didnt show any damange, historically I have noticed that the auctioneers tend to mention obvious damage etc so assume the product is relatively standard, on arrival, the diswasher turned up with extensive & obvious damage at the back and the lack of a single picture depicting such felt almost decietful (it was obvious enough that pictures should have been included from the back), I compare it to all other auctions sites, the auctioneers have taken care to at least note obvious damage. On making complaint they just noted their policy and noted I had the option to physically attend. I was quite disappointed mainly because I would expect some level of honesty and remorse at clear and obvious derelection of their duty towards customers who use the service online who naturally rely on pictures and for auctioneers to at least point out the obvious damage.

"Very Disappointed"
Disappointed, bought the following items and they are all non functional
1. Hisense free standing fridge
2. Tower Air fryer
3. Addis thermo kettle
4. heated single blanket.
This was just a loss, now hesitant to have washing machine installed. Delivery fees are overcharged as well. I wish I read the reviews before buying from these thugs, I've lost more money in the name of saving. This is a scam.

"Smooth and easy auction buying experience."
Really good experience from start to finish with auction from Broadlane Leisure site.
Viewing days were very helpful, online bidding was well explained with clear pricing details.
Making payment was as simple as it could be.
Good communication throughout and very helpful and friendly staff about each time I visited site and even helped me with loading on collection.
Very happy with my purchase. Thank you.

"There have been a number of 'issues'…"
There have been a number of 'issues' when dealing with John Pye. One of the first relates to the purchase of 2 coats (1 men's and 1 women's). When the items arrived there were 2 women's coats and no men's coat. When I asked about this I was informed that during the 'viewing' someone had taken the men's coat so they decided to sent 2 women's coats instead (they stated the replacement women's coat was more expensive that the men's so I had actually made from the deal, despite it being unsuitable for a man). I purchased a jumper, which when it arrived had a large hole in the front (this was obscured by the positioning of the sleeves when the pictures were taken. I was asked to provide details of the purchase, and photographs of the item to verify my claim. The latest is the purchase of a small tv with DVD player attached. Upon arrival the screen was cracked rendering it unusable but yet John Pye denied any responsibility stating that I should have attended viewing. They are interested in selling whatever they have to whoever they can solely for money, they have no regard for the customer and frequently cite the law, which they state is in their favour. Deal very carefully with these individuals, there are good deals to be done but they seem to be in the minority at the present. They do have an online assistant to answer questions but he cannot comment on anything because their network is vast and he has no insight into dealing at any of these sites

"Scam"
Every item here I bought has issues. It is a scam site. Once you buy don't expect a refund if item is not matching a description. These businesses shouldn't exist. Scam

"This company sells stuff that they Know…"
This company sells stuff that they Know is broken / does not work yes I know it’s a auction and you can view stuff but selling broken & not working items is totally wrong they don’t even advertise if it’s broken/ not working so basically it’s a CON be very careful of buying from them especially electrical or any type of glass in the item
