Good experience during the initial process of reserving and buying the car.
Unfortunately the after sales experience is appalling. A few days after purchase needed some advice which could probably be resolved by a chat with someone on the phone. Had to chase that enquiry and then days later received an email telling me to refer to the warranty.
It's not a warranty issue. It's about someone taking the trouble to call and see if they can help. Seems the first class service they advertise stops when they've had your money.

I had been let down by other players in the online UK car market.
Motorpoint were superb to deal with from the moment I hit their website. It was so easy to use with no tiresome photo uploads. There were questions regarding the cars condition and a few essential other details. A very fair valuation was instantly provided.
I made an appointment to go to the local site and I was there within 90 minutes of starting the process.
The excellent Newport Motorpoint staff including Jon Richards undertook a test drive and returned to honour the quote and within 15 minutes the money was in my account and the transfer completed online.
This is the way to sell a car. Thank you Motorpoint.

Arrived on the 9th April 2025 at swansea motorpoint spoke to callum who was great told him what I wanted a ford ecosport he showed me what was in stock got a lovely silver one in my price range picked it up the same day taxed it for me as it had a change of tax class cleaned and ready by 4pm the same day all details explained clearly brilliant

AVOID!!!! My grandad late 80s had a horrendous experience with Oldbury branch. They ripped him off around 5 grand short of a trade in. I called up next day to cancel it all. Scott the manager was questioning why very hesitant to give money back. All in all took me around 12 phonecalls and 6 emails and 5 days later a refund. We were promised a refund next day within 2 hours this never happened. Awful experience would NOT recommend. They didn't call or email back repeatedly! A huge NO not to use them. Trying to rip off the elderly and keep there money!

Was concerned that the used hybrid vehicle I purchased from Motorpoint still did not show any percentage on the battery gauge after 4 weeks (I do very little mileage) so followed the guidance on there website and contacted the dealership for it to be investigated under warranty turns out the hybrid system was inoperable as the battery was dead and not covered under warranty had to pay £156 for the garage to tell me this, raised a complaint with motorpoint as this and the total cost to replace would total almost &400, I felt this is not acceptable in a recently purchased car after owning for just over a month and still no resolution. Sales team were amazing walked out the door with my car literally in a matter of hours after care/complaints are useless. Check every aspect of the car you buy as buyer beware seem to be there tactics as the don’t care that they sell faulty cars and I have been getting fobbed off for almost a month now with my complaint so feel I have no choice but to go to the motor ombudsman.

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY"
Bought a car a Seat Arteca 2024 reg from Motorpoint Stockton on 13th March 2025. I gave them a good review as the staff were really nice. We realised the the car has a fault. We are within the 30 days you can reject the car and we have done this in writing. The car was checked by the main Seat Dealers in Darlington and they were very helpful and as they have really good diagnostic equipment I trust their judgement completely. They found a fault but have yet to identify what it is causing it and need the car in for a week to see if they can identify the problem. Motorpoint Head Office have said they don't agree with us rejecting the car and appear to be trying to delay a response until the 30 days are up. I took a photo of my husband handing the letter in at the desk in Stockton yesterday 9th April to prove we rejected it within the 30 days. Also I went on line to check on the vehicle's history and there was a large Red Notice saying "There are issues with this vehicle" which proves there were faults before we purchased the car.

On collection I have to say that Jessica was soo good, there were problems with my bank I couldn't remember my password but she was so calm and managed to find a way to us being able to transfer the money. Can't rate her enough.

Awful experience, unhelpful staff. Terrible price given. Business model is offer a price to lure you then reduce that by 20% when you arrive at their place, even when the car has been very accurately described.
Fraudulent all round.
If you want to be ripped off by nasty people use Motorpoint, they are excellent at that.
