"AVOID!"

EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE AWARE AND AVOID THEY WILL CON YOU!

I was offered a part exchange rate, told I cannot see or test drive the car until I paid a deposit.
Did car valuation online, sent pictures and all was ok. Told no issues. Signed contracts for PCP, went to collect the car.
They put our cars through a mini service/ with a magnify glass and charge you additional for EVERYTHING!
Backed into a corner already took our deposit said that the contract I signed no longer stands and I need to sign a new one with additional costs!
Pressured us for any extra money they could at any given time.

I honestly broke down the shop, I don’t even want the new car I have driven away with as it just reminds me of the trauma!!
I have sent a big complaint to the FCA and Ombudsman. I am also posting on every social media site there is about this company!
I’ve used pentagon for 10 years and I will be going back to them.

I am still crying from the experience now writing this and it’s been 24 hours!

PLEASE AVOID!!!!

"Alloy Refurbishment "

In January, I purchased a car from Birtley Motorpoint. Since then, I have observed flaking from the alloy coating (which had been applied prior to the purchase, not by Motorpoint).
After speaking with Kim at Birtley, she promptly addressed the issue and arranged for my car to be repaired as soon as possible, accommodating my work schedule. The customer service throughout the process was exceptional. The technician who worked on the alloys transformed the alloy surfaces into a brand-new appearance. I am very satisfied with the outcome. Thanks again

"Absolutely waste of time"

Absolutely waste of time. Was offered a price for my car online after I gave all the details, including scratches and dents and sent them photos. When I got to Chingford to drop off the car, which is a 40 mile round trip for me, they tried to knock 2/3 off the price for scratches. Absolute joke and insulting. I had to take time off work and travel a considerable distance just so they could try and rip me off. If you are going to do that, please don't lie to people with your online valuation. Complete waste of time and would recommend everyone stays clear of them

"Unacceptable after sales customer service "

I bought a car at what I thought was a fair price. However after driving less than 500miles the check brake pads light came on and the pads had only 1.2 mm remaining. If most mechanics advise replacing at 2-3mm and the legal limit is 1.5mm to pass an MOT, how can motorpoint justify refusing to pay for the replacement? The car must have had less pad depth than recommended when sold.

"Bad and Conflicting Communication"

Wanted to sell my son's car and although the online experience was good we then had conflicting information on them taking my son's car. First of they wouldn't collect the car, then I was told that the quote would be halved as the log book states the car is a CAT S. I then rang them just to confirm everything to then find out that they don't buy cars with a CAT S and will only do it on part exchange. Very frustrating

"aftercare is shocking "

buying a car was easy! staff were very helpful, but then once I received the car, I have emailed four times, four different people including customer service, and have been completed ignored, the aftercare is absolutely shocking. I have received emails from them asking me to rate them, however I wanted to give them a chance to rectify my queries, it has been two weeks now and still no response from them, just more 'rate us' emails. very disappointing, I would not recommend.

"Disgusting company to deal with"

Disgusting company to deal with. Customer service is a joke and will do everything to get out of correcting their mis selling. I was assured on 3 occasions the Kia I purchased had a full service history from new. Lo and behold it broke down and Kia will not honour their 7 year warranty due to the very first service missing. It’s now sat with no engine in it and an £11,000 estimate to fix. I tried every avenue to sort this but they refuse to admit they lied when selling the car. I would never have purchased it without a full service history. Stupidly I took the word of the two sales people who I dealt with.
