Company sent me wrong colour sandals. I ordered violet and they sent me green (10 pairs). They replied me only after 3rd email and apologized.
They wrote that I can return it if something doesn't suit me. I wrote that the sandals had already left for another country and returning 10 pairs would be an expensive shipment for me. Then they offered me a 20€ discount on my next purchase and I agreed, but the discount never appeared in my account and they didn't respond to my messages anymore.

Took a little while longer than expected for stuff to arrive but i knew it was coming and as long as i order the right size and don't have to send anything back it always goes well. the return policy is fair, just takes a few more steps than say amazon.

"An unusually annoying experience .."
So, I'm an 8.5 shoe size so I order a 9 for a bit of extra sock space. The shoes that turn up say size 9 but dimension wise are a generous size 8 at best. No exchange system in place so I have to arrange collection for a refund instead. Turns out that they deduct return postage from refunds so I'm now paying the privilege of having been inconvenienced by their stupid mistake. Hear nothing back so I give them a call. Guy on phone sounds like he'd rather be drinking hemlock than doing his job. Turns out they have no link between returns and refunds which is why no refund has been made. All gets a bit 'white rabbit with pocket watch' from there. Now jumped through a few more hoops and hopefully at some point I'll have my money back and will be getting my shoes from somewhere else.

"Poor returns process and no customer service "
I would agree with the previous reviews, the returns process is incredibly poor. My return was received back to the warehouse ages ago, and still no response to my emailed over a week to customer services. This was the first time I shopped with Alpine Trek, and due to this experience I wouldn’t use them again and would not recommend.
Update 3rd Feb in response to Alpine Trek: the email you sent dated 24th Feb was an automated response and didn’t answer my query. The tracking shows that the return has been received to your warehouse in Aylesbury Vale, on the 18th January. Please can you refund me for the order - it has now been 15 days since the order was received back, and I understand 14 days after receipt of the goods is the requirement to refund a customer.
