"Repeated requests and deadly slow"

My case: good salary; low Loan to Value; easy and straightforward deposit funds; ftb;

The experience with MPowered was frustrating and appalling as they kept asking different type of information (1. redundant documents that the other lender never have asked me; 2. Mpowered was not asking me in one go. Instead, they took two weeks to ask ONE doc and another week to review then asked me again about the other doc) can't you just review all docs and ask me in one instance?

After 8 weeks of application, they asked me to provide the proof of last 3 months payment of rent - excuse me? My rent was clearly displayed on the bank statement I uploaded initially with the clear reference saying 'RENT'.

Repeated questions which I have clarified a while ago already (e.g. To clarify the association of people who are on voters roll with me')

The disappointing experience drove me to I apply via another mortgage lender, and got the mortgage offer in one week!

"Requested overpayments twice"

Requested overpayments twice, both occasions they were actioned incorrectly. Also had a letter to state my payments were returning to the original payment, only for them to take the overpayment which left me short as I was expecting the payment from the letter.

No application or portal to view docs, make changes etc. Self service would probably be easier at least if I make a mistake that is on me. When calling to complain agent kind of washed over the issues.

Really bad customer experience and journey and highly unlikely I will stay at renewal even if rates are lower.

"Application got stuck at submission…"

Application got stuck at submission stage and IT had to sort it out, they asked me if I was ok for them to submit it, I said yes … 3 days later they hadn’t but the bug was fixed and no on told me. Then it got stuck for 5 days at valuation stage stating a physical Val needed for 18% ltv loan … again, IT needed to go a fix. Not the greatest communication or response when messaging, calling and emailing the BDM (maybe she’s been away?)
So all in all not the greatest experience for my first case

I've used MPowered a few times recently and have been really happy with their service levels. Their system is really simple to use and it's good to see they are trying to change the way things are done for the better and improve industry processes using technology.
