"H2 Property Services"

H2 is very well priced, the engineers are courteous and clean.

Their administrative staff is quite helpful and answer in a timely manner.

Thank you!

"efficient and effective"

I have used H2 numerous times and have always found them to be very good and their service/after care always "on the money". Our boiler wasn't broken but was in need of a service. They attended site, couldn't get access to the boiler due to the boxing, left site, told me what I needed to do, didn't charge us and returned within 12 hours of us getting the work done to enable them to complete the service. Excellent service. Thoroughly recommend.

"Great service."

First rate - price paid is price quoted - not ripped off for parts and the chaps left the flat immaculate. Am very happy - I won't use anyone else going forward.

"Very disappointed - no better than any of the other cowboys"

H2 fitted a new Vaillant boiler for me in September of last year. 14 months later (on a Friday night of course) it collapsed. I rang H2 on Saturday as I was sure I would get a good service, having had a less than helpful experience with Vaillant itself. I told H2 the error code on the call and the engineer was booked and he came round, very pleasant, but told me 'this shouldn't have happened to a new boiler like this' and rang Vaillant technical services. He then told me that is should after all be covered by warranty and wished me good luck and left. I rang H2 immediately to say that I didn't believe I should pay for an engineer to come round and just ring Vaillant. They promised to ring me back but didn't and the next thing I get is an invoice. when I rang to challenge this I was given far more information / justification for the charges than I got from the engineer and even told that they could have fixed it at a second visit but eventually a point blank refusal to discuss anything further. Apparently all this was doing me some sort of favour. It would seem that H2 are actually no better than any of the other cowboys around and I am £156 poorer with no working boiler.

"I trust H2 Property Services"

H2 quoted and installed a new boiler for us (Ronan was the installation engineer).

Basically the advice was definitive and helpful. The quote was very competitive (but without any dodgy shortcuts that accompanied other quotes).

The work was delivered on time (in fact, ahead of schedule), and to a high standard. My wife was kept informed regularly of progress throughout the work, and the area was cleared and tidied after installation.

The work was done diligently. Basically it was EXACTLY what we wanted. A highly professional job done, with minimum fuss and transparency and certainty over the cost.

There were no "unexpected" incremental charges - we paid exactly what was in the quote.

Basically you can spend a lot of time shopping around for offers, but I would strongly, strongly recommend going to H2 early on. Their price is good and they deliver what they say. I trust them.

"Trust and Support for H2 Property Services restored"

Edit: 12 Nov 2015 - H2 Properties made good on their offer to do the service at a reduced price a week after the original service - see original post further down. Our household have used them several times before for Gas service and also to install new fire and heat alarms throughout. The Gas engineer as before (I now request the same engineer every time) was friendly, competent and personable. The Electrician that installed the fire alarms in the past was friendly and performed his duties quickly and competently. I could not fault either on their work or post work cleanup.

The company services was good enough in the past that I have recommended their service to a neighbor and this I know resulted in them being appointed for the replacement of a gas boiler because the elderly neighbor wanted trustworthy service. This happened at the same time I had the unfortunate experience of H2 staff NOT recording my booked appointment correctly as set out below in the original post.

I retain the original complaint bellow as a reminder to all to make sure that when booking a service and or repairs that you confirm with H2 staff the details of the booking by making them reading it back and confirming that this is a combined service and/or repair.

Sadly they miss out on a 5th star as their much mentioned "terms and conditions" during my experience set out below is still not prominently displayed on their website. In fact, I still can not find it. Also, their handling of the original complaint has not been in any way geared towards customer satisfaction. I resent to have to resort to bad reviews before good, proactive service is offered.

Having said that: Apart from the experience below, I have had only good competent attendance from the company and have no reservation recommending their services and will use them again.

-----------------Original Post start here---------------------
Original Heading: Disappointing before and after "service" assistance. (never got the service in the first place)

Booked a (gas)boiler service 3 weeks ago for Monday 5 October 2015 noting at the time that the boiler-timer has perished and will need replacing providing the make and model. Thought we finally found someone that is trustworthy and ethical. Doesn't suck in the air between teeth and then expand on how expensive it is going to be, or which regulation could have been misinterpreted by the 9 previous Gas engineers and threaten to switch off the entire system as a result of this supposed transgression, doesn't wast time in order to milk us and is engaging and pleasant without being cheesy.
Surprise! No, they can only do one thing at a time. But this is not communicated at the time of making the booking. Replacing the timer involved unplugging a simple 4 prong unit from the face of the boiler, takes 20 min to leave and purchase a new one and return and plugs it in.
Cost of unit + £95.00 (their hourly rate) thank you very much. so far so good, no complaint.
"So, are you going to service the boiler? " I ask.
"No, you have to book another appointment" the engineer says.
So today I phone their office and enquire, why if I booked a service, did I only get the timer replaced.
"Ah sir," (after phoning back having investigated this) "even if this was booked back to back you would still have to pay the service fee of £95.00 + £95.00 for the timer replacement + cost of timer because we do not combine this in one visit."
"Really?" I say - "this makes no sense. Surely you can do both and charge me the time it takes"
"Oh, it is in our terms and conditions sir.."
So I go and look at their website:
Can't find where this T's & C's document is hidden on their website, nor was it emailed in advance, nor was it sent with the emailed invoice. But what I do find is this statement: " Standard hourly-rate work quoted below is charged as a minimum of one hour charge for the first hour and thereafter in quarter-hour increments"
So which is it then - you can charge me for a service and add on 15 min to 30 min worth of time for the timer replacement (A service has never taken more than an hour) and charge me the time for this OR you can't because your impossible-to-find terms and conditions state that I need to book two separate services?
Now this is the rub - They are supposed to be a trusted WHICH? service provider and proudly display this on their website. Seems to me that WHICH? trust them to rip you off by milking you for every penny possible when a single visit could have resolved all, added value by charging for 15 to 30 min more and would have cemented brand loyalty.
Not happy and in search of a new service provider. Brand loyalty having left the building. For good....

"Three different engineers, all fantastic"

I called out H2 on a Sunday to deal with an emergency leak. While the plumber was here, I mentioned some other problems to do with my boiler and sump pump and he arranged for an electrician and boiler engineer to come out later in the week. All the engineers I dealt with were polite, friendly, clearly knowledgeable and very kind (the electrician arranged for the pump manufacturer to come out to my property once it became clear that merely restoring power did not fix the problem). I will continue to use them without hesitation!

"Fast response and fixed our problem!"

We have used H2 on a number of occasions for plumbing and electrical services. Today they provided a plumber at short notice to fix a leak in our kitchen. They rectified the problem and helped me solve a longer standing issue with our kitchen tap.

I have always found their service prompt and totally reliable. And all the engineers have been extremely competent, pleasant to deal with and trustworthy.

H2 are my first choice call if I have any kind of issue in our house.

"Disappointing"

We called out an H2 plumber to carry out two jobs. The first he claimed was impossible (however a subsequent plumber we called out managed the job with no problems) and we have suffered a leak as a result of the other, which has caused substantial damage to our floors and walls. We have tried to resolve the matter with the company and were initially told that our builder must have sabotaged the plumbing and were then subjected to an angry and abusive rant. Apparently the work is guaranteed for one year but the company has refused to engage with us about this. We fully understand that issues can arise but the mark of a professional company is that they are courteous and reasonable in trying to resolve matters - unfortunately in our experience H2 are neither.

Perhaps time spent replying vindictively and unpleasantly to online reviews would be better spent providing customer service when an issue does arise. As another reviewer pointed out, H2 are not willing to ever admit to mistakes, which is disappointing.
