"GSA only interested in rent"
GSA are terrible now. My kitchen is falling apart. My sink has been leaking for months. They've know about it since September. The communal gardens are full of rats and rubbish and have been left like it for years. Our housing officer just says there's no money for maintenance and couldn't care less.

Has anyone been in arrears of just over 2000 like me and have been told could be evicted.

"My 84y mom fell over in her flat"
My 84y mom fell over in her flat. The local staff attended and saw that she was physically OK, but as they did not provide her care, they just notified me and then left her on the floor. They even would not just sit with her, until we arrived 15mins later. Cost was the main reason. GSA are not as good as they once were. I would not recommend anyone to use them

"Had a problem with a GSA tenant for…"
Had a problem with a GSA tenant for ASB. Took GSA over 2.5years to deal with them. Police, Local MP and Wiltshire Council involved. My family could not understand why nothing was being done or taken seriously. So requested Data Request concerning the two GSA allocated Case numbers. This was received by their own Info Governance Office. Found that GSA staff involved, housing officer and Enforcement officer had made false accusations about my family and I. Told both Police and local Council lies too. Even using various laughing emoji's within their internal emails to each other, to mock our situation. In the end tenants were moved because they requested a managed move, not because of their behavior. Since then various decorator's, contractor's have been in the property repairing it, I suppose that it Karma ! Even wrote to C.E.O, got very little interest. Put a complaint up through the GSA complaints process, All I got back was they would not have changed their investigation in any way ! Even though dairies and Audio and CCTV was provided. So GSA like to make up lies about people who are not their tenants and do little to deal with ASB tenants. Might as well just rip up and throw away their own policies. Total disgrace and I can physically prove every part of this review.

Leaving a disabled pensioner with an unsafe potentially life threating broken disabilities shear door, they think two bits of wood to prop up a heavy metal door that lifts up is safe!!! Five months still nothing.
They are horrendous.

"Awful Service"
From the day I moved in to the day I moved out GreenSqaureAccord have been absolutely awful.
Initially they allowed two kids, two dogs and a parent to live in a one bed flat and told me I couldn't have pets. When I raised concerns about the noise levels coming from upstairs, I spoke to someone on the phone who reassured me they would look at this, but then emailed me two months later asking me to remind her about the concerns!
Now I have moved out they have continued to collect rent and owe me additional money for overcharging on the service charge. No one seems to know who can pay my money back to me and the customer service agents can't speak to anyone in finance on my behalf either?! On top of this, calls can't be escalated, no one else in any other department can be contacted but they can send high importance emails...which is absolutely useless.

"STEER WELL CLEAR!!!"
STEER WELL CLEAR!!!
There is damage to my gas box as when I moved in there was a tree growing from under my block paving and breaking my gas box, reported this on numerous occasions over the 3 years I’ve been in this property to only get a response yesterday telling me it’s my problem to sort out and that I have to pay someone to take up the block paving and get rid of this tree, all they can apparently do is fix the gas box everytime it breaks! Looks like I’ll be getting very friendly with the contractors who have to fix the gas box every few weeks as I’ll be seeing a lot of them. I am not paying for work to be done on THERE house as they like to constantly state that it is THERE house not mine!!
Also have had the same problem every winter with the boiler breaking, they don’t bother to fix it for weeks when I have a special needs child in my home, How this housing association are still legally running is beyond me, they have an absolute disregard for any duty of care they have for vulnerable customers and seem to live in a daydream where they believe their tenets are responsible for paying for the repairs to the house that they own! Absolutely appalling company, don’t bother!!

"The absolute worse, private landlords are probably less criminal."
So my mum died last year, I was living with her, I had to report it to the housing as I was now a sole tenant. It took them a while to find a one bedroom flat for me but eventually it happened around July 22, they said I wouldn't move straight away as they needed to make adjustments to make the property rentable. But it was near to the previous address (15 mins away on foot.) When I was shown around the first thing I pick up on is the smell, I couldn't place it (I can now, it's damp) I didn't like it and said I didn't want to take it now I had inspected it, but they said they wouldn't offer me any other properties and that I'd be taken to court, so fear through intimidation I buckled and downsized. They wanted me to move in that week, no consideration that I a) couldn't drive b) had work commitments c) had to rely on my brothers who also had their own commitments. Accord "out of the kindness of their good will" let me rent both properties for a month while I slowly transitioned from the house into the flat.
I have initial problems, a 3 pin plug for the oven (mine doesn't have this) only room for a mini fridge, well an alcove for a much larger fridge but no socket, so I ended up buying a super long extension to compensate. Oh and a light switch that started smoking on the very first day of moving in, an electrician did come out very quickly and fixed the light switch, he said there was water in there and that it had rusted. He also replaced the 3 pin plug with a proper oven outlet and then connected that up for me, he booked in for someone plaster where the 3 pin had been because the new plug wasn't quite as big, no one ever did come in to fill in the crack.
So here I am 9 months later, I have 4 neutradol around the flat to hide the smell. I constantly see dead woodlice (sometimes living ones crawling on the floor) little black worms I had to google (turns out they are drainfly larvae so I am buying pipe cleaning fluid to deal with them right now) and I now know why there was water in the light switch, as the flat above seem to have a leak and the water trickles down, I'd say 70% of which is above my toilet so I never have the lid down now, and the other 40% reaches the adjoining kitchen, you haven't quite lived until you've seen water dripping off the fluorescent tubing in your kitchen. I'll never know what "adjustments" they were allegedly making in that 7 month stretch but It wasn't to the plumbing.

"I regret renting a house from this…"
I regret renting a house from this company due to the ongoing issues I've encountered. I've been waiting for over a year for them to complete necessary repairs. They have a history of providing inaccurate information about repair status, showing up without appointments, and frequently failing to keep their scheduled appointments. Additionally, their contractors often seem disinterested in doing the work and attempt to pass it on to others. The quality of their work is far from professional standards. Despite my complaints, I've received promises that were never fulfilled. I would advise others to consider these issues before choosing this company

"Shared ownership prisoner"
About 15 years' ago my wife and I purchased our first property, a 50% share with the other 50% owned by GreenSquare Accord.
It's all we could afford at the time and poor luck on our side (buying in 2008) meant the flat is only just now worth what we paid for it having been in negative equity for a long time.
We've lost money each month subletting the flat for the past 10 years as we couldn't afford to sell due to the negative equity and GreenSquare Accord recently got in touch to let us know we were no longer allowed to sublet it.
Fine, we thought, the property is back to its original value so we'll be able to sell it for the same price as we bought if for and at least get a small amount of money out of it. When we bought the share we had a 100% mortgage as we needed somewhere to live and didn't have a deposit - our mortgage interest rate is high and we haven't repaid a lot of the mortgage.
Fast forward to today and our buyer's lender is unable to offer them a mortgage for a couple of reasons:
Firstly, the length of the lease - what we didn't realise is that Accord doesn't pass the full lease on to shared ownership tenants; accord has access to a 155 year lease whereas they've apportioned a 99 year lease to us as shared owners. With 85 years remaining on our lease the lender's surveyor has down valued our RICS valuation by £21,000. This seems unfair given those people who could afford a 100% share receive a 155 year lease.
To extend the lease, we're required to pay Accord's legal fees as well as our own, and we need to pay £600 before we're able to get a quote to extend the lease (then I have no idea how much it will cost to extend the lease) either way we don't have the money.
This bit makes us feel poorly towards shared ownership as an affordable scheme and I can't get my head around needing to extend the lease of a property as a first time buyer. Why doesn't Accord give access to the full lease to shared owners?
Furthermore, as the property was down valued so heavily because of the lease length, the value of 50% has fallen below £50,000 meaning the lender is unable to lend based on their criteria.
I've since been told that the ground rent I pay to Accord is more expensive than any lender in the country is willing to provide a mortgage against.
Therefore I'm currently trapped with a property that Accord will no longer allow me to sublet (at significant loss to me as the mortgage and rent is more expensive than the rental income), which I can't afford to extend the lease of, and which a buyer will not be able to get a mortgage for.
A scheme that's cost us a lot of money, caused a lot of stress and now seemingly leaves us with nowhere to turn.
