We had a tv off them,everything fine payment taken off bankcard weekly then it stopped !
No way of contacting them they sent a letter of breach of contract!

"Total rip off company"

Total rip off company, I was desperate at the time and needed the items, I wasn't in a fit state mentally when taking the agreement out and a staff member in the shop filled out my income and expenditure, she told me to lie about my expenditures, she told me she would put down less than it was for my bills so I could get the items which I couldn't afford. Now am stuck with debt that I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I took out the agreements.

I’d give you one star if I could

Once again the arrogance of Brighthouse and GT dealing with their administration never ceases to amaze me. Complaint upheld in that that they haven’t updated my credit file for four months, so is now incorrect but apparently an apology is ok for this , I’m not entitled to any compensation and I can’t appeal it to any one.

It was the same arrogance I encountered from them with an affordability complaint.

"Initially when I took out the contract…"

Initially when I took out the contract all was good, i payed the same time every month, never missed a payment! then two years in the washing machine I had from them was playing up. I was paying the "brighthouse insurance" so called up, only to be told that the insurance had "ran out"!!! So why am I paying this money? So i cancelled the insurance payments, this is when the proverbial "brown stuff" hit the fan. All of a sudden I'm getting messages telling me I'm late paying, and to avoid the late payment fee, bring my account up to date! And there was me thinking that it is, silly me! So to date I have spoken to four different people regarding this, one of whom was the biggest obnoxious a-hole I've ever had the misfortune in speaking to! Has this been resolved? No it has not! And i feel never will be! I've got five months left to pay and all they are going to get is exactly what I owe! They can shove the many 12 quid late payment fees where the sun does not shine! One star that is rated as was not able to do a minus!

tHEY SEEMED LIKE A GOOD COMPANY AS THE ITEM IS THERES UNTIL ITS PAID OFF.
NEVER BOTHERED THEM FOR HELP UNTIL RECENTLY FOUND THEM TO BE BIAS AND LEFT ME WITH A FAULTY PRODUCT WHICH I WILL HAVE TO REPAIR MYSELF.
I AM GLAD THEY GONE BUST, THEY BUSINESS MODEL IS AIMED AT THOSE WHO HAVE TO BUDGET BUT THEY ARE CASH COWS PREFER TO SQUEEZE AND LIE.
KNOW WONDER MPs WANTED THEM OUT

"Beware: trying to take money they are not owed"

I had no problems with Brighthouse while they were trading, my problem have been since they went into administration. Seems they are trying to squeeze money out of people they are not entitled to in order to pay off debts they owe to other people.
I got into arrears due to change of circumstances during covid. I had very little left to pay, so they offered via Zinc Group to settle the account in full with one payment. Which I made. Today I received a letter telling me they now want late payment fees for an account they offered to close by making an offer via their debt collection agency. Sorry, but it doesn't work like that. You cannot close an account and then sayer want our late payment fees. Its closed. End of. Finito. No more payments will be made.
Emailed them to inform them as such, only to the emailed back moments later telling me to talk to Zinc Group as they don't have the account, zinc do. Emailed back to state I am aware, so stop sending letters asking for money, you ain't getting any, and as far as Zinc Group and I are concerned there is no account because its settled

Charge well over odd I’ve had a complaint in since March 2020 only thing I had was a acknowledgment even had cheeky bstards try to tell me to pay what I owe even though citizens advice and step change said do not pay till they completed there investigation was only when I showed them this they disappeared so anyone having problems with them do not belive anything they say
