"HF2 Pet"

I bought the HF2 Pet in December. It's ok - not particularly powerful, and takes nearly 3 hours to charge to give 40 minutes of use. However, I did find it handy to have around, and it was on a special deal so I had only paid £99. It also didn't come with any soft brushes for curtains or sofas, so I purchased a car accessory kit to go with it.

Less than 3 months later, the catch broke on the cylinder. It wasn't obvious at first, as the cylinder would shut, but then as I was hoovering, it would come open, and everything I had sucked up would fall to the floor.

This is where my issues started.
The product was within warranty, and I contacted customer service, giving my order number. I was passed around to a few different departments, and despite providing my order number they wanted proof of which retailer I had purchased from, and my receipt. I'm sure if they had looked at my order, it would have been there - I purchased from Hoover website, and my receipt was the order email. I was then told the cylinder could not be replaced as it was out of stock, and I would need to return the product for a replacement or a refund.

Just to get to that point took over a week of emailing - every time I email, it takes 2 days to get a reply.

I have had to buy another hoover in the meantime as I can't be without one in a busy home with 2 young children and pets. The hoover was returned over 2 weeks ago, using a QR code they provided and via their delivery partner. I've had to chase up with customer services myself the next steps, and how long the refund will take.

The tracking from the delivery partner says the product is on the way to the company and to contact the retailer. Hoover are just saying they haven't received it, and 'thanks for my patience and understanding'.

It's now around 4 weeks since I first contacted the company about the faulty product. I am out of pocket, and I don't really have 'spare money'. I am stuck between Hoover and their delivery partner with no end in sight, £99 out of pocket - even though it's not my fault the product was faulty.

I have proof I have returned the item as requested. I wouldn't even have an update (such as it is - 'we haven't received it, thanks for your patience and understanding' - empty words as they are not explaining when I can expect any resolution) if I hadn't reached out to customer services.

I would avoid buying from Hoover again. I would rather pay a little more in future and deal with a company I can trust when things go wrong. I think it is wrong that I am left without my refund due to whatever issues they are having in terms of their warehouse processes or delivery partners, with no end in sight.

It's taken over 20 emails, 4 weeks and still no resolution. Buyer beware.

1 week on from posting the review: I was told by the customer service team the situation had been "escalated" and heard nothing further. I have emailed again for an update - even if the refund was to be sorted today, it would likely take another week to reach my bank account, making it 6 weeks to receive a refund. I have contacted the social media team as requested in the reply to this review. Not really sure where to turn next.

I’ve had a delivery of new washer today with installation. Hoover state stated that it would be carried out by trained engineer.
If this guy is trained, then god help us if it ever need’s repairing. He didn’t know what or were to put sound board that sits under neath the washing machine and I had to pester him to put it in when I told him were it goes. Regarding the test cycle he was supposed to run to make sure it’s fitted correctly. Didn’t even know what it was.
With regards to adjusting feet to make it even. Never done , even though expressed it needs it doing. ( previous machine was uneven and water out of detergent tray never run away.
Hope the machine works better than it’s installed. No contact number for hover , so can be contacted for those with disablities.

. To say Hoover has been around for that long it’s a household name and still haven’t got their services correct.
Wouldn’t recommend anyone paying for Hoover installation service at all.

I have received responses from HOOVER’s online contact centre today.
It states their insulation provided does include the ones stated on their website at all. This is were it states it’s a trained engineer, that will adjust feet’s and run test cycle to confirm it’s running correctly.
It only means that the courier with un_pack and connect water and plug it in.
Didn’t state if they had to install the sound board though.
Personally think this is an mis leading advert for installation from Hoover. I will be forwarding my concerns on to trading standards.
So please be very careful what you purchase from Hoover Direct.

Had a problem at the beginning when I was told that the advertised offer had expired. After a couple of emails I got it at the reduced price which was over £100 saving. Customer service was really good. Delivery was really quick.

"Vacuum replacement "

I am just after a hip replacement, and needed something light that would vacuum up well . I wasn’t originally looking for cordless , as so many negative comments that battery vacuums die and eventually don’t work . Iwas looking for a name I could trust , this one was on a great deal , was so light , and a 3 year guarantee, so if it lasts that time it’s an ace.
On unpacking my grandson lay all the parts out , and had it together in mins , got it on charge , didn’t need long . Then turned on , shock ! not only is it light , I could lift it with one finger (I have osteoporosis ) it has a superb light which shows up dirt, it lift everything , and shockingly it is so quiet , my cat hated my other hoover , ran for the hills , this new one she went back to sleep on settee, she has never done that, hates noise. And winner is dust collection box was full , and that was only l.room and hall , they didn’t look dirty before. If I could I would give it 10 as it certainly has me pleased as punch.

Send email video about how to put together all parts together.l, and care details. For someone like myself who is dyslexic this was so easy to understand and put together/ attache all parts together. My discount code was a bonus! I saved 140 pounds!!!!

"Nice hoover but some issues"

Positives
Looks smart and not too big for storage. Like that you can lift canister off to easily hoover stairs. Picks up dirt well.
Not such good points
Advertised as large capacity canister, not big at all and tiny compared to my old Dyson. Build quality feels a bit flimsy and also awkward to push around when changing directions. Bought the one with 2 attachments yet there is only storage space on the hoover for 1 attachment!! This is very annoying as you have to carry one around the house with you if you are doing a full clean. There is lots of available space on hoover to locate an extra hook/socket but obviously a cost cutting exercise by Hoover or they are just advertising this one with an extra pet attachment without any consideration to where it will be stored! Very disappointing.
