"Top notch customer service"

It would be unfair to rate Smiffy’s based on whether or not I liked the costume I ordered (I didn’t!) but this isn’t their fault. I’m pretty tall and the costume was too short for me. So I’m rating them based on their customer service, which was excellent. On returning the costume, I made a silly mistake, which could have left me out of pocket, but Niels went out of their way to help me. I can’t thank them enough. I would use Smiffys again without hesitation.

"Appalling customer service from Chelci"

Appalling customer service from Chelci. Practically arguing with me via email, no apology on the first email until I prompted on my reply, extremely rude and very lacking in any customer service at all. I’d be disgusted if I were the employer and this person was representing my company in this vile manner.
7 days after ordering I haven’t received my parcel and it’s not out for delivery yet either so will be 8 days plus. Of course this is only royal mails fault and absolutely not Smiffys in any way and anything I say is wrong and Chelci is right. Actually gobsmacked at the attitude of the customer service. Strongly recommend you avoid plus these costumes can be found cheaper elsewhere with a much faster dispatch time. Really not worth the hassle or unpleasant experience.

"My grandson recieved a firemans suit…"

My grandson recieved a firemans suit for his birthday , from a friend who is very ill , i could not bother her about it and let her know it had a small hole at a seam , he still put it on and more of the fabric near the seams started coming away on the bottoms and the top .The hat is fine . He dresses up in something different every day , This is the 1st outfit he has from smiffys .

"Have to pay to return items that are poor in the 1st place."

Outfit come and was very small sizing and poor quality. No returns label included. Cost me £4.45 to send it back to them and when they have processed the return they have not returned the delivery charge or the money it cost to send it back. Disgusting service I emailed and was referred to their terms and conditions. Won't be using them again as not worth it and by the other reviews I am not the only one.

"Small sizing and high price for low quality"

I ordered two Halloween outfits for my children. The delivery was fine, came when expected. My issue is the quality of the items. The witch's dress is supposed to be light up, but it actually only flashes for about 10 seconds and then you need to press the button again for another 10 seconds of flashing. No one is going to keep pressing a button every 10 seconds, so I feel this is a false advertisement. The hat which came with the outfit is also tiny. I ordered 7-9 for my 6 year old and it doesn't fit her head and there's no stretch to it at all. The hat would probably fit a 4-5 year old. Just overall not good quality for the very high price. I won't be using Smiffy's again.

"Product ordered for Halloween party on…"

Product ordered for Halloween party on Saturday, paid for next day delivery, which would have been last Thursday, didn't turn up until today.

Contacted Smiffys Customer Service team. They were a apologetic and refunded the delivery charge and advised to refuse to accept delivery of the goods when they eventually arrive, which was today (Monday), 5 days after they were contracted to arrive.

Smiffys said they would refund the payment made for the goods, if I refuse delivery, I will have to check my account to see if that happens.

Really poor service, which I pointed out to their customer service agant, he blamed UPS, who were no doubt at fault here, but that is not the point. My contract was with Smiffys, UPS were their agent. Inexcusably appalling service.

Looking at the long list of negative reviews below I am not the only person to have been let down in this way.

"Don't bother with the 48 hour service"

Don't bother with the 48 hour service - it took 5 days. No apology or even admission of ruining my 9-year old daughters fancy dress night by not arriving in time. Awful approach to customer service.

Useless, screwed up my order now and now not getting my outfit for a party and won't cancel the delivery to give me a refund to order somethingelse . Absolutely ruined a party I was looking forward too

"Disgrace of a company"

Would never use again there an absolute joke ordered from website saying if ordered within next 10hrs will be delivered 2 days later on a wed. Got a notification that they had sent it on the wed evening at 18.58 at a city of £3.99it’s now sat 5 days after order and still no costume. Ruined my daughter Halloween party.

Their own website duplicated my order missed out clothes and added two masks no offer to rectify their own mistake I must pay for it rubbish company do not use them !
