"Do not buy from Smiffy's"
I ordered a pirate Halloween costume for £29.49 and paid £3.99 postage.
The costume came faulty as the straps were sewn in the incorrect places, and the material was cheap and nasty. I contacted the customer service team and I now have to pay postage to send the costume back in order to receive a refund. They do not send a return label, and they won't refund either of my shipping costs.
Appalling customer service. DO NOT recommend.

"Really disappointed with Smiffys"
Really disappointed with Smiffys. I ordered a costume and it was due to be delivered yesterday. They didn't put the correct apartment number down so Royal Mail returned the order to Smiffys. I called Smiffys who told be to order again and use UPS. They did give me discount for delivery, however this then took away my discount that I already had so I ended up spending exactly the same.
UPS tried to deliver and couldn't. I contacted them and I was put through to a woman who could not speak English well. It was such a difficult conversation and in the end I gave up and hung up. So now I am two parcels down (£80 down) with no items. I am so annoyed. If the first mistake wasn't made, I wouldn't now be in this position.
I wonder if I will actually get a refund for my first items!!!

NO REFUND FROM THIS SELLER. Awful. Ordered a foam skull mask and it literally started ripping the moment I put it on. On the website it says they're not obliged to refund anything.

Brought a plus size costume from them and it came up really small so had to send it back! They even charge for returns- will not be buying from again!

"Lying about “tween” sizing"
There’s no way on their website for me to leave a review of an outfit that falsely advertised the size of, so I’m leaving it here.
Their “Tween” Chucky boys outfit is advertised in several sizes, the largest being age (Tweens 13-14). However, when I have received this age “13-14” year old outfit the actual packaging says “12+“.
When I have then gone back to their website on their size guide it says Tween size is “10-12”. However, they are still advertising an age 12 outfit as 13-14. Absolutely disgusting!!! And the intended person this is for is only 156cm and 101 pounds so very petite and the outfit is a tight fit.
So I would personally avoid this website if you are ordering for between the ages of 10-13 because they are clearly putting all that age group together which is ridiculous. A 12 year old and 13-14 can be vastly different in size and weight…

"Great customer service"
I ordered my kids outfits for Halloween on Monday 3rd October and they were to be delivered on Thursday 6th October. Unfortunately I was out all day so missed the Royal Mail delivery. Thinking they would either leave with a neighbour or take it back to the depot for me to collect from there they left it propped up outside my flat door. When I returned home that night the package had gone as the external door to the flats doesn't lock and there are 3 flats opposite mine so is totally unsecure to leave a package in plain sight. On the Friday morning I reordered as my little boy had his heart set on a wolf costume and I emailed Smiffys with the issue. By that afternoon they had refunded me the original order amount and upgraded my delivery to UPS at no extra charge. The new delivery arrived at my parents house yesterday and my boys have tried them on today and are happy with them. Only thing I will say is that I had to order the L size (age 10-12) for my 8 year old but he is tall for his age. My mum says the body of this outfit is not very long but the legs/arms are.

"A genuinely community spirited company"
I contacted Smiffy's to ask them if they could supply a free wig for a charity event for my local dog rescue. Not only did they send out a wig worth three times more than the one I'd asked for, but it arrived the very next day. Absolutely faultless service from beginning to end and I'm not even a paying customer. Thank you so much to Niels and Alice, we raised a staggering £1703 on the day and the kids all loved our princess (wearing your wig).

"5 stars isn't enough!!"
If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I placed my order for the 3-4 years Matilda dress, UPS next day delivery. I got a notification that it wouldn't be delivered next day but the day after. I emailed and got a response within the hour. A very polite and friendly response and the issue with my delivery was dealt with. Then when UPS attempted delivery I wasn't in. And I wasn't able to select a reschedule on the website, so again I emailed Smiffys and got an immediate response. UPS were contacted and they came back to deliver my item later on in the day. Absolutely amazing customer service, above and beyond. The outfit is also amazing, perfect fit for my daughter and amazing quality. I will be ordering with this company again!

"Waste of money."
Ordered a wig for a 70s party. Arrived early which was good, but my god the wig was horrendous. Nothing like the picture, clumps falling out. Totally unwearable. Complete waste of money!!!
