"Decent, but very dishonest"

I purchased a lifetime account from Zoolz a few years back, and I was mostly satisfied with what I got for my money. I've had issues where larger files would not backup at all and would cancel halfway through. I've had issues where sometimes Zoolz would not backup any data for a few weeks and then would start again like nothing happened.

Overall, considering how much I paid for a lifetime account, I would say that I got more than my money's worth. That is until I received an email from them saying that my account will no longer be supported, and this lifetime thing was just a lie. They say that if I want to continue using their services as before, I have to start paying monthly.

Basically, they sold at lifetime accounts and then after a few years they're asking everyone to start paying if they want to continue using the service. That is just right out dishonest. I would stay away from this company.

"Not trustworthy at all!"

I have bought 1TB Lifetime plan and now they have suddenly asking me to pay a monthly fee to maintain the space. How is this lifetime? I bought it last year.

Very dissapointed by this monthly maintenance fee. I feel they are extorting me: pay them or be left without my personal data uploaded.

So bad news.

Also, they have not updated their MacOS application, no Retina updates, even though Retina has been implemented in MacOS since 2012, so in 8 years they have not added support.

"Fake Lifetime accounts... stay away!"

Purchased a lifetime account sometime ago and was now told that I need to start paying to keep using it. Really shady choice of words, like:

How will this affect you?

As a lifetime account holder you will not be forced to pay any additional costs, however, without upgrading your plan you may experience some issues using your account when we cease to support our basic plans of as February 1st, 2020.

-- When asking for an explanation, they said:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Zoolz & BigMIND Technical Support.

Without this voluntary payment to upgrade your plan you may experience some issues using your account when we cease to apply updates to our basic plans of as February 1st, 2020.

No reimbursements/refunds will be issued as the purchase has surpassed our 30 days money-back guarantee period.

My advice: STAY AWAY from these crooks...

(they even tried to prevent this review from being published...)

"Zoolz has a funny definition of lifetime!"

Like the others, i bought a lifetime account and now being asked to pay monthly maintenance to maintain a usable product. I can only say stay away from Zoolz. They don't maintain their obligations.

"Unprofessional and not trustable!"

The service is full of bugs and now they have discontinued support for users with lifetime subscription! Unbelievable. You pay for a service and the they start cutting on benefits. First, the android app disappeared, then the support... What's next? Is this a trustable company? Certaintly not!

I want my money back!

Answer: "It's not you... It's me". Are you joking with your clients?

Update: They were preparing us for this: stop a lifetime service without refund. Great. Will somebody continue to trust this company? You should refund everybody with lifetime accounts. What a scam!

Zoolz explicitly promise to reply within 24 hours, but no answer 4 days after asking about lifetime account.
They seem to pass silently until February.

It should be assured that the functionality would be the same without the additional cost, and that it would not otherwise be available.

I want to know what happens if I don't pay.
No change? They seem to evade this issue.

The "lifetime" - they say - means a life of confidence!
Reliable company is dead, and bait and switch fraud company is born!

"Engaged in unfair business practices by not living up to the agreement we made"

Unfortunately, I too have (HAD) a lifetime plan and now Zoolz is essentially telling me that my lifetime plan will become obsolete unless I upgrade to a premium plan at AN ADDITIONAL COST TO ME. Of course, I paid for my Lifetime plan almost 3 years ago and thought that was the end of any additional fees. And if I do agree to an upgrade, I will be paying for an annual subscription, meaning I will have to pay whatever they are charging each year and no doubt, each year the cost will go up.

This company has acted in bad faith and I am going to report them to the BBB as well as the FTC and leave as many negative reviews as I can because this is not what I signed up for. I know I may not have much success as far as getting a full refund on my original payment for the Lifetime plan, but I will try. And I do not know if the BBB or FTC can do much since this outfit is out of the UK. I can certainly let others know however about their deception by giving Zoolz poor reviews on this site as well as others. I say shame on them.

"Can not be trusted! Changed Life Time deal to monthly payment"

As with others here, Zoolz changed my life time deal to monthly payment. This is a breach of contract. They should at least refund all the people that has paid for life time deal that do want to move to monthly fees.
If they need to find ways to make more income, do not fail your existing customers and break your contract with them. That is bad business, and as here their reputation is being damaged for future business.
