"Drayson Mews"

We recently used the services of One Fine Stay to rent the Drayson Mews property. It is a really lovely mews house and we would highly recommend it. Great location, amenities, and very quiet. Perfect for 2 couples or a family with older children. Unfortunately there were issues with the boiler and One Fine Stay staff worked very hard to resolve the problem. They were concerned, polite and did their best to help us. We were very impressed with their responsiveness as they tried to find a solution. Sadly the boiler could not be fixed quickly and we had to move to another One Fine Stay property.

"One Fine Stay - Brooklyn"

1. We arrived at the agreed check in time to find a cleaning crew trying to get the kitchen/house in shape. As we are Colombian we were able to speak with them and understand that their job description did not include clearing out space for us, cleaning cabinets, mopping, or much other type of cleaning. They were overwhelmed with the filthy state of the kitchen and did not know where to start.

2. Our arrival host tried to get out of the house since we got there - was annoyed to hear about the evident issues with house and provided no solutions.

3. The internet was not working

4. The music was not working

5. There was no storage in master bedroom or bath

6. The crib was missing two of the sides - when the pack and play was delivered it was 8:30 pm. Our 18 month old was collapsed by then. We ordered a gate for the stairs, not delivered as of this message.

7. The oven was repulsive

8. The fridge and freezer stank of expired, half-eaten food, including seafood. We cleared them out at 9 pm when a One Fine Stay person finally arrived with the pack and play. He was shocked to see the state of the kitchen.

9. The master bath drawers had

10. The kitchen drawers were packed with old dirty messy crap and expired foods, even used kid's syringes (see pictures)

11. The back yard was filthy. The cleaning crew did not even attempt to clean - or seem to care.

12. There were stacks of old dirty carpets on the back porch.

13. All the silverware and plates needed to be washed. Cleaning crew was not helpful.

"Wonderful service when we landed in …"

Wonderful service when we landed in London only to find our original reservation with another company had been cancelled at the last minute - the reservation team went into action and found us a great apartment to stay in and fast tracked our check in ! Extra fans to deal with heat were delivered immediately and all queries answered efficiently - apartment is elegant - very clean and well equipped - a home away from home ... Fantastic team !!! Thank you

"Honest review of inconsistencies"

Service meet and greet excellent - apartment not so great - unable to stay where we had originally booked and was only notified less than week prior
To departure so that was disappointing as we know the news house well and we're looking forward to staying there again. Apartment just down road
From news but much less spacious and top floors - also way too much personal paraphernalia if owner - also ladder in entry - reformer bed behind sofa and kids toys in bedrooms so no space whatsoever to lay suitcase on floor - not good enough ? Won't stay in this apartment again !

AC is not working properly in NYC summer heat. Slow to respond, still no service, been waiting since noon yesterday. This is not luxury service.

"Regular user of onefinestay"

I have stayed with onefinestay in London six times over the past four years. I find it more convenient than a hotel if I am meeting with family or friends. You get what you see on the website and the homes are cleaned well and are very comfortable.

"Reservation was canceled by the Homeowner few days before the trip"

Be aware! The reservation may be canceled by the homeowner! It may happen few days before the check-in date. You may be left with last minutes inferior alternatives!

It happened to me, not once but twice at the same reservation. I have reserved the Netherhall Gardens III home, three month in advance. It was canceled by the homeowner/Onefinestay after seven weeks "due to construction". An alternate home - Gloucester Avenue III - was reserved and confirmed. And then, less than a week before the travel commence, once again the homeowner/Onefinestay cancels due to emergency, "the homeowner needs the home". This time it was too late to find an acceptable alternative and the reservation was cancelled and the payment was refunded.

This is amazing, stressing and not acceptable, yet it happens!

Onefinestay agents are high class, responsive, helpful and trying hard. Yet the fact remains that the company policy allows it to happen. This is a quote from the policy:
The Homeowner is not entitled to cancel a booking once a Confirmation of Booking has been sent. However there may be circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Homeowner or emergencies in which the Accommodation is unavailable for all or part of a Rental Period and in those exceptional circumstances we will do what we can to assist and the Homeowner will arrange (through onefinestay) for suitable alternative accommodation during the Rental Period (which will, if possible, be of comparable quality and character and may be 4 star hotel accommodation within 2 miles of the location of the Accommodation). If alternative Homeowner accommodation is available then your contract with the Homeowner may be terminated and onefinestay will arrange for a new agreement entered into with a new Homeowner.

Onefinestay agent stated that it never happened to him twice for the same reservation. It is meaningless if it is once or twice. If your reservation is cancelled at the last moment, your trip may be severely derailed.
In addition, it is hard to tell what constitutes "beyond reasonable control" or "emergency".
Is a homeowner, not aware seven weeks in advance that construction is due? He may be aware, but doesn’t know the exact date. But once he may cancel, he may not care!
What is an emergency? Onefinestay claims the homeowner's family member needs care after illness.

The agent stated that cancellation is rare, yet, know there is a risk when you place a reservation with this upscale service.
