The system is capable of a lot. Unfortunately, I haven't used its full potential because the manual hasn't been helpful in teaching me how to use the system's features. When I purchased the Alex system, my school did not send me across the country to a training session, or pay to have someone come here to show me how to use it, so I've had to learn the system on my own. I wish I knew how to use all the features, and I try to utilize the manual, but most often I can't find the section that I need; I don't know how the manual labels/categorizes it.

"Great Software! Ok service and support."
I love using Alexandria in our library. We use most of the features regularly, including: title assistant, self check out kiosk, automatic emailing of overdue notices, customized Researcher, and running specific reports. It was easy for me to "genre-fy" our fiction section by simply using the "copy shelving" field. Some functions can be somewhat complicated and take time to figure out. The CompWiki site has been very helpful with detailed instructions. Reaching tech support can be difficult and has been somewhat unproductive. Overall, I love the software and all that it can do.

I use Alexandria for all of my inventory needs. This includes equipment and books. I am able to track every item, whether it is housed in the media center or in the classroom.
The reports are comprehensive, yet I appreciate the simplicity of the program. Anytime I have needed a question answered, I have found the support line to be very helpful. There is also a vast amount of material concerning operational questions online. We are currently in the process of switching to the Hosted version Alexandria.

We are a small college library. This system is geared towards elementary schools. Yet, Alexandria has everything we need. It does take some time to figure out how the program works. They have a wiki support page that needs some updating (they upgraded their system recently and a few of the buttons are in different locations). However, after basic training, we have been able to figure out most things we need on our own.
When we have contacted customer service, they are fantastic. They have done trainings, taken our calls, and emailed us promptly after we contacted them. We have appreciated their support tremendously.

I have used Alexandria for 4 years now and have never had a problem with them. When I had any kind of an issue or needed help their customer service reps were there and walked me through the problems I was experiencing. I would recommend Alexandria to anyone, I have never been more pleased with a company than I am with Alexandria!

This company does a great job giving you all you need for your library software. It is very easy to use and comes at a really good price. I would highly recommend this program to anyone. The program also comes with easy to use videos that explain how to use all the functions of the program.

"I think the system works great"
Coming into the Library new last year this system was a little overwhelming but with a little bit of training from the last person in here and also a little help from others who work in school library's I got the basics down. Now since I have been in here for a year I am looking to dive into the system a little more and learn more specific features of what it can do to make my job easier. This is not as easy as it sounds. There is guide for the system but to be honest when I have a question I have a hard time finding an answer to it. I wish they offered a class to learn some of the specific features that can really make our job easier!
