"Last year (2023) my central heating…"
Last year (2023) my central heating stopped working.
I found PM247 in a Google search
They sent an engineer to whom I made a payment, as directed on arrival.
After some time upstairs, he came down saying he needed a "part". He went off to collect the "part" returning half an hour or so later.
The cost, added to my initial payment had now reached £650!
THAT did NOT fix my problem. He told me he required ANOTHER "part" and to get my heating working I would need to pay a further £350!!!
I baulked at this and contacted the company who had upgraded my system last time.
I paid them the call out fee (£75 or so) and within 10 minutes everything was working!
There was an air lock in the system!!!
BEWARE PM 247!!!

"Really great service"
Really great service - and reasonably priced considering it was a Sunday evening - fixed the leak so quickly

"Complete cowboys"
Complete cowboys. Do not use. Left my vulnerable 94-year-old neighbour in a worse situation than before they arrived. 3 engineers failed to turn up and had to chase continuously. Then a random bloke turned up in an old battered saloon holding a plastic plunger to unblock the only toilet she can use. I had explained when booking the job that at least a mechanical coil would be required as an experienced handyman had failed to unblock using a manual 5 metre coil. This man (won’t call him an engineer) rambles in, floods the toilet and the bathroom and then goes “nah, can’t be done”. My neighbour then had to go to toilet in her garden as she recently recovering from a broken hip and can’t leave the house or upstairs. Beyond disappointing.

"The worst of Britain"
Whilst accepting of the call out terms and conditions and happy to pay the fee…was horrified to hear a quick job costed up and catastrophied as a serious issue.
Upon hearing the quote instructed the cowboys to leave my house and never contact me again.
Avoid at all costs.

"Big scam"
Big scam. Told me I would only be charged if they rodded or used camera. Guy come out and said nothing could be done and got charged £168 for it. Another company come out fixed the the problem rodded and used a camera to show the issue before and after and charged £220

"Extorionate pricing."
5 minute quick repair on a Sunday evening which was great but to be charged £270 for it was completely ridiculous. No replacing of the broken tap, merely capping it off so I still have to replace that on top of the £270 I've already paid.

"Top notch emergency assistance"
I telephoned PM247 late on a Saturday afternoon due to a major blockage. Fearing I may have a long wait, I was pleasantly surprised when the company arranged for a plumber to attend my property within 1 hour. Gavin, the plumber, was a very pleasant, reassuring and knowledgeable. He carried out a thorough inspection and managed to resolve the issue. It was a great pleasure to deal with a company who takes customer satisfaction seriously and who genuinely want to help. Thanks to PM247 a lot of stress was avoided and my weekend was not turned upside down. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

"Company is either totally inept or dishonest"
My experience with this company was terrible. £140 call out fee but it seems that this is just to look at the boiler. The engineer, googled the fault and then diagnosed an issue. Despite not needing any parts it was another £250 to fix it.
Within five minutes of him leaving the fault reappeared but I was told he’d fulfilled his contractual obligations and it must be something else which would be a further £300 to remedy. He couldn’t do it that day and would have to return the following day and it would cost an additional £300.
Very suspicious at this point I decided to cut my losses and get another engineer from a different company to attend for another £140. They diagnosed the correct fault (different to both the original engineers guesses) and resolved it within 20 minutes.
This company is either totally inept or more worryingly dishonest. Do not use.
