"Avoid this company"
It seems to be the same story over and over again in the reviews and my experience was no different.
Upon arriving to collect the car, I was informed that I would be required to put a €1500 deposit down to avoid additional fees for insurance. Due to not having these kind of funds available, I had to opt to give them another €35 per day just to avoid putting a deposit down. Additionally to this charge per day, another €100 was taken as a deposit.
NONE OF THIS IS MADE CLEAR WHEN BOOKING A CAR ON THE WEBSITE.
I just wish I read the reviews before booking. Absolutely avoid this scam of a company and find a more reputable company to rent a car from. They also don't give you the car you book so if you are after a particular car, good luck with that.

"Absolutely terrible experience."
Absolutely terrible experience.
We paid for the car hire and premium insurance cover in advance. Upon arriving at the desk we were asked for a £2000 deposit. It was never made clear to me that I would have to have these funds available to hire the car. After disputing with them that we had already paid they dismissed us and said they cannot refund the booking.
We've given them £300 for absolutely nothing. A similar thing happened to other people in the queue and they were met with the same dismissive customer service. Avoid at all costs.

"Avoid at all cost"
Avoid at all cost. Do not use Sixst at Shannon airport. I’d rather spend more money and go with any other car hirer company. Was charged €20 for being 10 mins late whilst the lady had a friendly chat for 10 mins with the people before me. The car was poor quality and not what we requested even though we booked months in advance. Car hadn’t been cleaned properly. Wouldn’t recommend or use them again

Lamentable !!!

"It is a scam branch"
It is a scam branch, not a car rental, so beware of dealing with it. My experience with them was very bad. The car was contrary to expectations and not the same category as the chosen one. It was very bad and not safe and legal to drive on the roads. There was a defect in the rear wheel that caused the car to shake permanently. The tire was completely worn out and the air conditioner was not working as it should, in addition to the windshield wipers not working as they should and the car was... There were injuries on all sides. I contacted them to replace the car, and they asked me for an additional 2,000 euros to replace the car. Unfortunately, the left side mirror was damaged, and I informed them immediately. I was surprised that the next day, an amount of 950 euros was deducted from my credit card without informing me of that, and before the end of the rental period, and an amount was left. 2,100 euros are reserved in the account, bringing the amount reserved on the bank card to 3,050 euros for a regular Citroen car. After delivering the car, I contacted them via email and their response was very negative. They blamed me and clearly evaded responsibility.

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS"
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This company looks attractive however their pricees are nominally lower than the competition and the money you would save is not worth the hassle of dealing with this company.
I pre-booked and paid for the rental online. Spoke with Adeline on arrival and she was very helpful. She didn't try to upsell me on anything although I had already paid for full coverage and toll fees etc. ad the keys in my hands when I was informed that I needed to pay an additional 100e for a fuel deposit. No issues there until I was informed that they would only accept Credit cards. I had prepaid with my mastercard debit which they then wouldn't accept. They also wouldn't accept either of my Union Pay Credit cards (widely used in Asia). The entire booking had to be cancelled due to this.
I was told to contact customer service to get my refund for the booking. When I did so, I was offered credit for the amount of the booking. I explained to them that this was an insufficient remedy as I would encounter the same issue the next time I returned home and I wasn't going to take out another credit card just to be able to rent a car with them. This was completely ignored. No response. I contacted customer service 2 further times in an attempt to recoup my losses and all further inquiries were completely ignored. I have since initiated a fraud claim with my provider.
Note, following this, I walked to literally the next counter in the airport (Enterprise), made a new booking and was in the car within 20 minutes with no hassle.

"Terrible quality cars! Don’t be fooled!"
NEVER EVER RENT A CAR FROM THIS COMPANY! Complete disgrace and disappointment. Similar experience from the rental in Germany. Both times booked via booking.com. They use very cheap and bad quality cars you would never decide to buy and “sell” them as ones in a better car category. Honestly, better pay a bit more and use another rental!

"Don’t touch sixt car rental at Dublin airport"
Rented a at from sixt at Dublin airport, from the 9-20/6/2024. It rained for 8/10 days and rained the day tue car was returned. When the car was returned it was checked and we were told it was ok. It also had a full tank of petrol. Now after 5 days I’m having various amounts of money taken from my account with no explanation at all. I’ve emailed them a number of times but have had no reply.
