Scoot

"Please do not go here!!!"
So I am a brand new to the business world and was very optimistic to creating my business and getting it out there. I had lots of advertising in mind and came across scoot, I could place a free listing. Why not it's free. A day later I got a phone call from scoot saying they could get me more business to me at about 300 plus pounds which gave me all five directories, a net tracker etc I said no way I have just started out my income off the business Is not high enough to accommodate such pricing they went on and on with very pushy sales tactics and seemed to get a bit nasty in tone when It was not going his way. So gave me a choice of 2 packages £99 or a £199 I said I can I think about it, he said he will ring back tomorrow. He did do just that i said despite low budget I will go for the 99 package he said to be honest i would be better off with the other one I said no that will do, and if sales improve I will upgrade. A few days later I got a phone call again stating if I would like to pay £65 a month for a companion website. I was pushed to the point he got fed up and kept sighing. I agreed with the promise that this website will work and will get lots of sales again AVOID I can't stress enough, my website they created was a shambles, full of spelling mistakes and every link you clicked on brought you to the same item so looks like we only sell one product. So avoid Web. Com like the plauge!! Further research States that Web. Com is a scam site that has no interest in helping you. Wish I never came across this site. Must report to watchdog

"Avoid like the plauge"
Do not even let them put in a free listing! Once they do it's phone after phone after phone trying to get you to sign up. Driving me mad. You know its a total waste of money when the sales people get really annoyed that you do not want to buy.
They have such a "patter" that it's flipping impossible to get them of your phone if I could add minus numbers I would

"Thankyou"
I have never felt compelled to write on a review site before though I have occasionally used them - and in this instance I am pleased I have...
The constant hassle and over-selling of this company's marketing proposal rang alarm bells with me (several times a day when i had asked for a few days to mull it over) - and a quick glance at all the other reviews - with the exception of just one (fishy....... Scoot employee maybe ?) confirmed my thoughts so thank you - unlike many I was not drawn into this and for that I have the other reviewers to thank.

"Zero return on investment"
Good sales pitch, terrible product.
I feel embarrassed to have gone ahead with them. They had even tried to lie to me about visitors through them despite me actually being in the profession that monitors these things

"AVOID AT ALL COSTS!"
I Was called by Scoot last year to have a listing on a couple of websites.
I already had a free listing with them and the lady that called me told me i were getting a fair number of hits to my adds but if i paid a fee the company would optimize my adds and then advertise on a couple of other websites for me as well. I think it worked out at 300 Pounds..... I went ahead with it. Saw no significant increase in traffic which she assured me i would get.
The year passed and i have been HARASSED! By Scoot! Who keep phoning and phoning and phoning! They call my mobile, My business number constantly. I have resorted to turning my phone off because of them!
The new woman told me that i should renew my add with them as it was going to expire. I told her that it was a waste of money the first time i did it so i couldnt see it being worth my money a second time around.
She told me that i had had thousands of people click through my adds and come to my website..... Google analytics told me otherwise Which i stated to her. She then proceeded to say "On google analytics do you see organic hits from google?" I replied with yes and she said "Yes that's our advertising" ......... So was she stating that they are now google as well? And organic search results were actually nothing to do with SEO Work that had been on going? there were very rarely any referral links that came from Scoot....
I would AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!

"Avoid"
Unpleasant, unprofessional and offensive customer service from an arrogant representative

"Matter resolved"
After being sold the 'national' listing which I have in writing, we were then informed that we had only paid for a 'local' listing which only allows the user to search in their exact post-code which is useless for an online business. I was promised that my concerns would be passed onto a manager and after not hearing anything for 14 days I proceeded to contact them by phone, email and finally left a negative review on Trustpilot.
I received a call from Gay, customer service manager (the same day as leaving the review) who agreed that the wording was very miss-leading and we resolved the matter amicably within a few minutes. Whether or not Scoot will bring any value to our business is negligible but on first impressions this was a very bad experience which could have easily been resolved. I feel sorry for the customer service manager having to pick up these type of complaints as this company really needs to get the basics right.

"DON'T USE THIS COMPANY!"
I would give them zero stars if I could.
Absolutely appalling customer service.

"Not Impressed"
Very poor customer service, constant sales calls, return of investment minimum if at all

"I agree with all the other negative reviews"
I can only echo what has already been said. Absolutely dreadful service and not one sale in 2 years as a result of their so-called advertising. I rang up to complain and go told "well, your profile has had 300 hits" to which I responded "well, my FREE facebook profile has had over 3000 hits (based on the number of people referred to my website through FB)". They refuse point blank to give a refund and tell you that there's no "cooling off period". Absolutely awful company to deal with and I will not be using them again, even a free ad wouldn't be worth having!
