"Terrible and I wonder how honest they are..."

We've had our domain for over 10 years and today it was suspended with no warning and no correspondence. I contacted speednames who asked for me to send verification of my identity in the form of company invoices, tax returns, HMRC correspondence, passports, driving licences, utility bills etc etc. This is a lot of personal and sensitive information and I question what they will do with it. I contacted my website provider who suggested I contact nominet who control all .co.uk domains. They were very helpful and for only £12 I was able to transfer my domain away from speednames to another provider recommended by my website provider. This was done in less than 2 hours and now back up and running. I would advise anyone having trouble with speednames to do the same -it'll be the best £12 you'll have spent!

"Shambles"

An absolute shambles, they made a mistake with our dns records and I couldn't change them, after hours on the phone with support they managed to fix it only for them to "upgrade" the account and break it all again.

"Most awful company i've ever dealt with"

If I could give them no stars I would. This is without a doubt the most awful company I have EVER had this displeasure of dealing with. Please do not use them. They are currently holding 6 of our domains and after 3 months of trying to regain control of our domains have now stopped responding to my emails all together. Every-time I call nobody has a clue what i'm talking about and I spend hours on the phone explaining for them to tell me they are unable to help unless I send even more information via email. They have admitted they have lied to me and nobody is looking at our case. It is pure arrogance and blatant ignoring and act of ignorance. VERY angry customer who is trying to get away as fast as I can.

"Very impressive bed service"

Very impressive experience that just once they charged money for change account information, then as looking for invoice, I had asked and transfer the same questions 3 times and finally got the correct invoice is 1 month half after
The dashboard has also show no domains which we had bought over 10 domains inside speedname, and one sudden we saw no domains list in the dashboard and funny thing is the list of invoice payment method is still there, unbeliveable, this is very scary once your site is going on live which has online payment and you have no clue what worst scenerio will be happend next

"omnishambles"

This company is a perfect definition of omnishambles. On 12th Sept I received an e-mail advising that they were migrating to a marvellous new portal. This was followed by another later that day telling me that I owed £13.49.
Problem. That could only be paid on the new portal. Next problem it was impossible to achieve this mainly because they didn't advise the parameters of the required new password.
They were impossible to reach by phone and on 18th they cut off my e-mail services so now impossible to reach them by e-mail. I even went to their registered office but could not gain access.
The only bright spot was that on 21st I finally, after spending hours on hold, made contact with Beverley who managed to get me logged into new portal and to set up a credit card to pay the £13.49.
New problem I could not settle this until the invoice was posted to the portal,that i was advised would take 12 to 24 hours to arrange. Why?
30 hours have passed and the invoice has still not been posted so I cannot settle and must remain without e-mail access presumably until Monday at least. They appear to only work from 9 to 5 on weekdays.
If you are a customer of this company be prepared to be treated with contempt.

"A completely useless organisation.Used…"

A completely useless organisation.Used to be called Netbenefit but not sure if they got taken over or changed name. They have recently performed an 'upgrade' which they have admitted has gone wrong and I have had no email for 2 days. The support guy has told me that they have 'hundreds' of emails to deal with. I explained that without email, our company cannot communicate with customers, etc but no real concern shown - I'll just need to form my place in the queue. Heavens knows what else won't be working once I get access, or when that will be. Keep well clear if you're thinking about a website host.

"Fingers crossed!"

Well I spoke to a really super helpful lady called Heather who finally, after nearly 2 weeks without email.....and she sorted it out right there and then. I have lost 2 weeks worth of emails which have somehow either got lost during migration from the old legacy platform to the new platform, these I will not be able to get back, but at least I am back in business! Thanks Heather!

"På grænsen til svindel - et firma eller bare en telefonmedarbejder og et fakturasystem?"

Simpelthen elendig service siden januar 2018. Vi havde brugt speednames siden 2016 uden problemer, men over nytår skiftede de setup til en ny platform. Vi blev overflyttet til den nye platform hvor vi ikke længere havde adgang til nogle af vores tidligere services såsom mail forwarding for vores domæne. Jeg talte med support 4-5 gang, og blev lovet en opdatering der aldrig kom. Omkring midt januar (2 uger efter og problemet var stadig ikke løst) opdagede vi at alle vores e-mail adresser ikke længere virkede, og snak med support førte stadig ingen vegne. Efter 3-4 dage uden mails fik vi kontakt til den engelske support som fixede e-mail problemet. Vi kunne stadig ikke få adgang til selv at tilgå domæne og dns indstillinger, og valgte derfor at skifte til Godaddy. Siden januar er vi desuden blevet trukket et beløb på 3,64 kr om måneden for noget de kalder migration services. Vi har talt med deres support hver måned og sendt e-mails til deres billing afdeling der virker ikke-eksisterende, da support ikke kan hjælpe med billing spørgsmål, og billing-afdelingen ikke har et tlf-nummer. I jule var vi inde og fjerne vores kortoplysninger fra platformen, men er stadig blevet trukket i både august og september. Det er simpelthen så uprofessionelt og frustrerende, at det er på grænsen til decideret svindel, at trække penge fra tidligere kunder der ikke benytter sig af virksomhedens service længere, og så have en billing afdeling der ikke besvarer henvendelser, eller som support siger "de er lidt bagud på besvarelser" (9 måneder senere). Hold jer langt væk kan jeg kun sige...

"Useless company"

We were with Netbenefit who were fine. Since Speednames took them over, passwords don't work but the final straw is the new 'portal' which we have been upgraded to, now no email since I had the 'Successful Upgrade' email,19/9/18 at 02.11. They don't answer the phone so I have no way to contact them.
