Rented a car through Vehicle Rent at National in Phuket for 6 days in December 2019. The lease confirmation came the next day. The price is very good (about 650 THB / day for Nissan Almera). Issued and issued the car very quickly (about 10-15 minutes). The Deposit was returned in three weeks. Everything's fine. Recommend.

Simply the best car rental broker on the market, and I've tried a few:
- their base prices are hard to beat
- always instant confirmation
- also, the additional insurance fees are way better than what typically the rental companies are offering; their insurance comes also with free cancellation
- payment terms: never requested to pay the full amount up-front; usually you pay their fee at the time of booking and the rental company at their desk when you pick-up the car

"BS company"

The business model of this company is based on not paying the customers. Don’t be fooled by the positive reviews - they are from people that didn’t need to resort to a refund. In my case they already don’t bother responding emails. It’s been 6 months since they recognized my right. Simply don’t be the next sucker. This is the 3rd complaint I make here in Trust Pilot. They don’t care and probably have a robot to spring the usual we’re sorry BS.

"Disgraceful company and staff"

Booked online with no issues and had a great 3 weeks with the car in florida. Arrived home an 2 months later ALIMO had taken 850e from my credit card, Alimo is the company that actually provided me the car. It turns out that vechicle rent never transferred my payment over to them. When i rang vechicle rent they said they would look into it. It has been 5 weeks and im still no further on getting my money back. Its an absolute joke of a company with every contact i have with them i have to either call them or email them and its still the same were looking into it answers. Do yourself a favour and never rent anything off these clowns!!

Mietwagen über check24 gebucht, 90€ abgebucht.
Wollte dann Auto im Nov 2019 bei Orlando abholen.

Dort hieß es dann "Wir haben Geld von Offer Car Hire nicht erhalten, wenn Sie Auto wollen, müssen die den aktuellen Preis von 350€ zahlen. Wir haben schon sein 2 Monaten kein Geld von Offer Car Hire erhalten...".
Hä ??? Laut www ist OfferCarHire=Orlando...

Mit check24 telefoniert, die mit VehicleRent und Orlando, dann hieß es: "Sie müssen die 350€ zahlen, nach Rückgabe des Mietwagens erhalten Sie die 350€ wieder."

Die hab ich mir auch von check24 per Mail bestätigen lassen, dann erst die 350€ bezahlt.
Nach Rückgabe des Mietwagen, neuen Vertrag... bei Check24 eingereicht. Es könne paar Tage dauern bis ich das Geld erhalte.

Auf dieses Geld warte ich noch heute. Check24 hat die Sache bereits dreimal bei VehicleRent eskalieren lassen, kein Erfolg.

Daher will ich nun einen Anwalt mit der Sache beauftragen...

Sehr geehrte Emily,

als ich die Bewertung schrieb und bei Vehicle Rent anrief, hieß es es würde noch eine Weile dauern. Nach meiner Bewertung erhielt ich von Ihrem Kollegen gestern einen Anruf, daß es nun schnell ginge.
Jetzt (10.1.2020) habe ich 351€ erhalten, es fehlen aber noch die 30€ die mir Orlando nach der ordnungsgemäßen Rückgabe des Mietautos vom Konto abgebucht hatte. Sowie 50€ durch Folgeschaden. Beides hatte ich check24 mitgeteilt. Auch weiß ich immer noch nicht, warum ich vor Ort am Schalter nochmals zahlen durfte. (ich scheine nicht der einzige gewesen zu sein dem dies bei Check24=>vehicleRent=>Offer car hire=>Orlando passiert gewesen ist)

There needs to be a rating lower than one star, just for this oufit. Car booking process ok, but I ended up with a scam rental company. They said I damaged car, but I didn't. The insurance claim got processed after I jumped through endless hoops, and accepted on 3rd October. They said "up to 90 days" to make payment, and I asked why but received a dishonest answer. It is now 7th January and I am still waiting. Chase emails do not get answered and telephoning is impossible, so I think I will call the sales number and give them some hassle. Looking through the other reviews, this is a definite pattern and a lot of customers have been waiting longer than me.

I think you get the message.

I reckon the top rated reviews are all from people who never had a claim, as the company are very good at taking your premium.

The replies to previous similar complaints are IDENTICAL. They just paste a standard reply. They may be sorry about how I feel about their Company, but not as sorry as I am!!!!!

Refund received 7 days after posting this review. I don't think I would ever have got the money without it. Thank you.

"I wish there was an option for negative rating"

I wish there was an option for negative stars. Avoid using the company as they will never pay off the claim money. No contact number to reach their accounts departments. Customer services have accepted the claim about 7 months ago with promise to pay it off within 90 days. 4 months additional on top of it and still waiting for Godot.
