WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER AND WORSE BANK. IN DUBAI. THEY GIVE YOU SALRAY BONUS WHICH WHAT DIES BONUS MEAN??? TO THEM WAY TO SCAM MONEY BACK FROM CUSTOMERS. IN THESE TIMES WHEN PEOPLE SALARIES HAVE BEEN EFFECTED DUE TO COVID IF YOU MISS A SALRY TRANSFER THEY WANT YOUR BONUS THEY GAVE YOU BACK WHICH MAKES YOUR ACCOUNT NEGATIVE!!!! GUESS THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS NOR THE HAPPINESS LIKE THEY ADVERTISE. GUESS WORD BONUS MEANS SCAM !!!!

Guys stay away from thi mashreq neo account, l wanted a stamped bank statement urgently only to be told l can't get it in the bank. The only way to get it was to call customer care which turns out not to have such option.you will be helped by a machine which is useless. Noone calls you back even when you send an email. I went to burjuman branch to inquire more they treated me like trash ,we dont deal with such accounts here ,l have decided to close that account for good

"Worst bank and mastered in fraud"

The lady was standing in sharaf DG, ibn battuta mall (Last name- Pitras) and taken my details after telling about very good cash back schemes. I got the card in 2 days. My cash back reached more than 200 aed within 2 month. Guess what they closed my account. My card stopped working. Guys don’t take their any of the card. I would like to sue that lady as she must be 100% knowing about the facts but just to make her commission she did this fraud.

"Absolute worst bank for credit cards"

I got a cashback credit card last month. Made a couple of large transactions on it (reached half the limit allowed). The card was blocked by the bank without informing me. When i followed up with the bank on phone banking, netbanking and direct.mashreq.com service no response came back to why it was blocked.. finally after 2 weeks of trying got through ... they just said "its permanently blocked due to internal policy, just pay off all your outstanding at the earliest"

amazing thing is same thing happened a few years back with the Mashreq Etisalat Branded credit card i had.

Absolute worst bank to deal with in my opinion.

I reported a fraudulent transaction within hours of this being made and had to fill in a form to start the refund process. 130 days after I am still chasing the bank and they have just initiated the process.... this is not customer service... this is negligence

customer service phone number will pissed you off. Mashreq can't be reached once there is an emergency cases.

"Fund Transfer"

I initiated a transfer of INR 50000/- through Mashreq Bank ( Ref033DBFC202350210 )to M/S ROMA Builders Private Ltd in India on 22nd Aug. To my surprise the money has not reached to the beneficiary as of 10th Sep.
After a couple of follow up with Mashreq bank, I was told by my Relationship Manager( RM) that their partner bank in India ( M/S Axis Bank is holding the release of money to the beneficiary ). I asked my RM the reason for such delay. He put all the onus on to their partner bank in India. My request to the Mashreq Management why are they not following up with their partner bank in India. As a customer, I shall never select Mashreq bank for any transfer of fund in future.

Hello, I totally agree with the below complaint and the review of Mr. Anton. And I would like to join him as I have faced the exact same issue with Mashreq. Apart from the story which Anton explained, I strongly suggest to existing customers to keep checking their monthly EMI, as Mashreq has charged me an excess EMI amount of 14,980, instead of 10,381. So be careful with such a bank. Apart from that this bank never values long term existing customers, and does not provide enough deferment and good repricing. Hopefully, I will move to another bank soon.


Hello everyone, for everyone who plans to apply for a mortgage with Mashreq. First, read my story:
I got a mortgage and when UAE Central bank significantly reduced EIBOR rates to help people during turbulent times caused COVID, most banks have already reduced mortgage and loan rates and this is a great step to help people go through low times and avoid defaults.

Mashreq is taking almost 6 weeks now and is trying to avoid this Central bank decision by profiting from it, keeping the difference to its profits and illegally referring to some internal MPR (Mashreq prime rate) to reject legal demand to lower the rates. MPR is something very creative "very smart" people came up with in order to fool clients and avoid UAE Central bank policies and regulations. MPR is smth one person decides at Mashreq can decide without any transparency, oversight or regulation and attempt to complete disregard central bank.

Well, people are not fools and I hope current and future customers read it and remain aware of it.

You know people at Mashreq is going to happen in such cases:
- an investigation by the regulator into illegal practices. Hope Mashreq bank get fined and a public reprimand, because this practice to undermine UAE Central Bank must stop.
- loyal customers will turn away unpleased or default.
- mortgages and loans will be transferred to other more transparent banks providing honest predictable services.
- your bank will start to lose on cashflow.
This is at times when very few people take mortgages and the cost of customer acquisition went up.

P.S. I hoped that I'd not need to write this, but feel I have to, so other customers can stay away from Mashreq and existing customers with the same issue can join in.

"USD payments"

its been 3 weeks with Mashreq bank not processing my incoming or outgoing USD transfers with rejection message being: RECEIVING BANK IS UNABLE TO APPLY FUNDS DUE TO MBNY INTERNAL POLICY

Anyone else having this issue? Looks like there is a problem between Mashreq Bank Dubai and Mashreq Bank New York
