My Experience with masherq bank neo account was good until they had declined my depositing cash in my account.I had transacted too much money thats why they Blocked without giving warning and to restore my account i have to give supporting documents.They are treating like a thief.The neo account is then useless.

"I purchased mashreq certificates"
I purchased mashreq certificates. They charged me 35AED extra as a processing fee after 2 months I encashed 3 certificates and they charged me 25 AED for every certificate I purchased then after sometime as mentioned in their website it has 90 days period for charging the amount and after completing 90 days there will be no charge.
I completed 90 days and tried to encashed another 2 certificates but again they charged me 25 for each certificate. When I called at the bank number they said they have 180 days terms and conditions which is not written anywhere not even there website or mobile application.
Really It was very disappointing situation.

I'm usually very patients with regards to services but today I've experience masreq bank service at it's worse from phone banking miscommunications to queuing systems in Rigga branch, to manager and staff behaviors towars customers...totally disappointed....

Kept on calling on help line this most ridiculous help line ever. Next day morning went mashreq bank ajman branch , representative kept me waited and talking to his friend on the phone laughing and smiling didnt bother to listen said sorry twice and said i will help you
Then heard my complaint said i will get my deposited amount credited end of the day now its 1am still haven’t received. Calling on worlds worst help line since past 30 minutes but unable to reach to an operator this is really disastrous. No idea why i have chosen this bank my biggest mistake i regret my life’s first regret. My name is hammad malik

"ALERT: Read my story before taking mortgage from Mashreq bank UAE"
Hello everyone, for everyone who plans to apply for a mortgage with Mashreq. First, read my story:
I got a mortgage and when UAE Central bank significantly reduced EIBOR rates to help people during turbulent times caused COVID, most banks have already reduced mortgage and loan rates and this is a great step to help people go through low times and avoid defaults.
Mashreq is taking almost 6 weeks now and is trying to avoid this Central bank decision by profiting from it, keeping the difference to its profits and illegally referring to some internal MPR (Mashreq prime rate) to reject legal demand to lower the rates. MPR is something very creative "very smart" people came up with in order to fool clients and avoid UAE Central bank policies and regulations. MPR is smth one person decides at Mashreq can decide without any transparency, oversight or regulation and attempt to complete disregard central bank.
Well, people are not fools and I hope current and future customers read it and remain aware of it.
You know people at Mashreq is going to happen in such cases:
- an investigation by the regulator into illegal practices. Hope Mashreq bank get fined and a public reprimand, because this practice to undermine UAE Central Bank must stop.
- loyal customers will turn away unpleased or default.
- mortgages and loans will be transferred to other more transparent banks providing honest predictable services.
- your bank will start to lose on cashflow.
This is at times when very few people take mortgages and the cost of customer acquisition went up.
P.S. I hoped that I'd not need to write this, but feel I have to, so other customers can stay away from Mashreq and existing customers with the same issue can join in.

Worst banking experience in refunding the amount. Its one month being the wrong transaction done and contacting the bank. There is no proper reply from the assisting team. Or there is no official email regarding the same. Have been using many banks and its the first time facing such an issue.

This bank have a lot of hidden charge and their customer service is very bad. today i spoke with Mr. Ameer and he is so rude. I suggest that when you want to open account in UAE don't choose MASHREQ. You will regret it in the end.

Al Mashreq NEOBiz is the worst account you would ever experience unlike any other bank in the UAE, they made you sign a lot of papers and explain to you how simple and fast and easy to open a business account within 72 hours but what they don’t tell you is that they will charge you 2% on each time you try to withdraw money from your account. Today I was charged deceivebly 1500 dirham for withdrawing 75k and the Teller did not mention that the charges will be this amount and I asked her how much will be the charges she was like “I don’t know” I’m putting my feedback to create awareness and to let the community acknowledge this important information because they will not say it to you

I've been in banking for many years, I recently opened a copay in the UAE and wanted to open a local bank as I like to support the local economy wherever possible. We'll what can I say, If there was a way to rate a bank negatively as a -1 Start this would be the first to get that accolade. I didn't think it possible that after waiting 4 months to open an account, chasing over and over again, having to submit my forms 3-4 times as they kept going out of date that they would turn me down for a simple corporate account. I mean, business owners don't wast you time, just go with a bank that actually understands banking. Probably the worst experience to someone who understands the process. I am glad I don't have an account, if they could mess it up so badly in opening an account I don't really trust them with my business wealth.

"This has to be the worst bank I have…"
This has to be the worst bank I have ever encountered. One cannot even withdraw money from the ATMs unless you go to a branch! one has to withdraw from another bank's ATM. Online services are so well hidden, if they are even there again it ensures another trip to a branch. I do not recommend this bank and will close my account in the next couple of months.
