"Really pathetic service provided by…"

Really pathetic service provided by from Mashreq Bank. I will never recommend this bank to anyone. I wanted to close my account and it has been so many months and still my account is not closed. They have given excuses that my direct debit with my insurance company is still active when it has already been deactivated by my insurance company one and a half years back. Have been going round in circles and there is no one who can resolve this. Their phone banking team is also pathetic. They answer the call but there is no resolution.

I will wait for somebody to revert back to me so we can close the account.

Cheating with Customer. 500 aed Stolen by the bank

Just to inform everyone that Mashreq Neo bank did a fraud with me . 29th October, 2019 . I was trying to send money to India but all of sudden, my transaction got failed by mashreq Neo bank but my 500 aed has been deducted from my account and I received the message from the bank that i will get this money with in 48 hours. But I haven’t received my money yet.

I called the Mashreq customer care and informed about my issue. First of all it took 20 minutes to connect to the operator and customer care representative took 10 minutes to check after that he told me that i will get my very soon . But it’s already a week but I haven’t received my money.

I mailed to Mashreq bank twice but no response on my money issue.

I’m feeling so helpless and i have lost my hard earn money.

I have no choice of complaining about the Mashreq bank to the Police .

اسوء بنك في الدولة عصابه من اللصوص ولا يوجد اي صاحب قرار داخل اي فرع لحل اي مشكله تم سرقه ٢٥٠٠درهم عن طريق البنك وبعد التواصل مع البنك أدعو انه هذه رسوم الاشتراك في التامين ولم اقدم طلب الاشتراك في التامين أبدا عندما قدمت طلب الالغاء واعترفو بالخطأ قالى لي ان المبالغ غير قابله للاسترجاع هل هذا بنك يؤتمن عليه في الأمارات .لصوص لصوص ولا انصح اي إنسان الوثوق فيهم أبدا

Extremely poor customer service! Never reply to my direct emails and even watsapp messages. Providing Misleading information and throwing the blame on each other. Ineffective communication with customers in the collection department that doesn't not meet with Dubai acceptable standards.

"Took a wrong decision choosing this…"

Took a wrong decision choosing this bank.. I almost got frustrated. For simply applying any product, the sales representative visits office almost every day for more than a week and get untimed wrong documents from us. And ask us to travel to existing bank to clear buy loan process without any prior knowledge of terms. I have travelled often to my existing bank where they said it is banker's responsibiility. Banker was helpful at some extent, but most of the mistakes are from banker side. Out of short available times, we spend to meet that scenarios which many times i felt idiotic. We believe bankers and we dont have any knowledge. They should guide us properly. And they get documents wrongly and ask us to apply again. What standard we wil lhave in our company, if we have apply thousand times... I spent lot of money to travel for this bank works.. Such a worst scenarios.

Excellent service. The agent at the call centre was very knowledgeable and professional. Was able to resolve my credit card charges issue at the call itself. Keep up the good work.

"Worst bank ever"

Branches are closing for 4 months of renovation without previous information, then other branches just shut down, long waiting times, if you want to quickly Cadh your check, you are definitely wrong there. Teller transaction not ready even 30 minutes after opening timing. Slow service. I would never ever recommend this bank

*Mrs Oberoi from the Service department called me and fixed this issue professionally .

* My car loan application with another local bank got rejected due to my personal loan with mashreq
bank, which i dont have anymore!!! Mashreq bank did not informed Al Etihad Central Bureau that my loan was closed therefore loan got rejected for liabilities issues.

"Worst service"

Worst service . It’s been 4 weeks since I got my mashreq neo card/welcome kit and my accounts is not active . I called 3 times and emailed 2 times during 4 weeks and not even 1 person call to fix my issue . Worst service and worst bank

"Rudest internal credit review agent ever"

2 years ago I signed up for the Smartsaver card that is supposed to be free for life. 2 weeks back I got a call from "internal credit" department stating due to internal credit review, they were going to block my card. I will state here that my salary is above 50K AED a month and have paid every single bill on time.

This call came from Mr Narayan who is in the internal credit review department at Mashreq Bank. He said "we will block your card due to internal credit review". Sounded condescending and insulting. I asked him to not cancel for expected refunds and open cases have on the card etc. During this phone call, I have requested an official letter explaining to me also why this action is proposed, no official record of email. The same day they've blocked my card - and it wont show under my account so there is no way for me to know how much cash back I had earned, or how much was due, nothing. When I complained to Mashreq using the online form, the case ticket was closed without any response. (Its not the first time this happened). Then I called Mashreq customer care, and they said - yes if you dont log on to your account to raise a complaint, we dont receive it. So dont raise it on our website without logging in. How comforting!?
I raised another ticket - and asked Mr narayan to call me. I said - i see no outstanding on my account thanks to your actions so why should I pay what I dont see?? He said "Okay dont pay madam". It was a threat.

The point here is - dont insult customers. its the basis of any business!

I would strongly advise against banking with Mashreq. Those agents come home offering you things and then this becomes a sour experience.
