"Our experience with Five Star…SIMPLY AWESOME!"

Our experience with Five Star Properties was beyond our expectations. Ocean Escape was the perfect escape for my family in spite of the weather. It rained most of our stay. The house was very clean, cozy and comfortable so staying in and lounging on the balcony was perfect! The neighborhood was amazing. The people we met were all so very nice even those who were on staff at the property. We also enjoyed a nice bike ride around the neighborhood. Our only regret was the short length of our stay. We did not want to leave and definitely look forward to visiting again!

"Turquoise on the Gulf - We Loved It!"

We were impressed with Five Star and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Turquoise on the Gulf in Destin. It was perfect for our large family of 15. We particularly loved the spacious main gathering area. Ideal for being together and not once feeling crowded. Multiple balconies with great views, great pool area and overall amazing vibe! Be aware that like most multi-level homes in Destin, there are a lot of stairs.

Five Star was for the most part very responsive and proactive. We had one minor service issue that got overlooked. But once Five Star got tuned into it, they were all over it and moved promptly to address it. Would recommend Five Star as an organization and Turquoise on the Gulf as a property for any larger group or family!

The home was great and conveniently located to beach. I really enjoyed the morning bike rides and definitely a plus the home is in a gated community.

Customer service is 10/10. I have booked two vacations over the span of several years (2016 and 2021), and I absolutely recommend Five Star Properties. Any issues I had with my rentals were handled quickly and professionally.

Our place was wonderful fit our needs perfectly was in a great location .. my only complaint was that the master bedroom downstairs didn’t cool down enough at night .. almost thought something was wrong with it!! Other than that .. it was perfect!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good location......the property was a bit “tired”......needs some general maintenance and sprucing up. Bikes were a nice convenience.

"Sugar Shack was in a great location"

Sugar Shack was in a great location! Only a couple of blocks from the beach and a couple of few minutes drive from shops and restaurants. House was very clean and had everything you needed. House keeping was very responsive and the couple of minor issues were fixed within an hour after letting them know. The backyard has everything you could ask for - firepit, pool, TV, and even cornhole! All on all we love the property. Would love to stay again!

"What a wonderful house!"

What a wonderful, clean, convenient to beach, coffee and shopping location!!!!! We loved this house and the warm pool in a quiet enclosed setting. Kitchen was stocked with all that we needed and more! We will be back!

"Disappointing"

Booking was easy and friendly. The house was clean and had the needed supplies. We had a few issues. First, the television in the family room would only stay on for 2-3 mins at a time. This was extremely frustrating. We called and someone showed up to fix it the following day. The repair man spent most of the day with us. The TV was not fixed. He came back again the following day, replaced the TV and still the tv did not work. Gathering 13 people in the master bedroom was not how we wanted to spend 2 of our evenings. Nor did we want the repair man in our house for 2 days while we had young girls walking around in their bathing suits. Finally one of the guests fixed the tv. Next issue was the fireplace wouldn’t turn on. Again we called for help. And again we had a repair man in our vacation home for days. Finally he said the owner wasn’t going to fix the fireplace. Renting a home in Florida during early March we looked for one with a fireplace because the weather can be cold. It was extremely disappointing to not have the fireplace work. We were informed we would be compensated for this, however we have yet to be contacted. Our final issue was on the day of arrival we were told that the hose at the back of the house to rinse our feet off was broken and it would be repaired that evening (Saturday). The hose was finally fixed on Thursday.
Would we rent again from this company, not if they don’t follow up with the fireplace issue. Also, repairs should be quick not 4 days of having someone in your house. I had to call and send an email to the company and tell them to stop sending the repairman to our house. We wanted to enjoy our vacation with our people not share it with a stranger.
