"Great House / Five Star not so much"

The house is amazing! The Five Star team is a different story all together. They don’t listen and they don’t meet their commitments.
You can start with the booking where I informed them there was only going to be 2 of us in a 6,700 sq ft home and the most important aspect of the home to us is the pool and spa. We requested that those be heated and clean when we arrive (“yes sir can I get your credit card information”) 3 days prior to arrival we were informed that the pool is not a heated pool and the spa jets are not working but the spa heats and is good to go. When we arrived, the spa was filthy and empty (they don’t listen). We contacted them immediately and they informed us someone would be there the following day. The following day we got a call and text informing us that the parts still had not arrived. We told them again we didn’t care about the parts we just needed it cleaned, filled and heated. Next day no one shows up again we are notified about the parts. Loosing 3 days use of the spa we cleaned it, filled it and got it heated on our own (they don’t meet their commitments).
Upon arrival we asked them to call us when the house was ready. “No problem we will”. No call and again they do not do what they say.
We were contacted prior to a storm that the owner is very particular about the home and someone would be coming out to secure the outdoor furnishings. No one ever came and no one ever called to tell us feeling bad for the owner we secured the furnishings. Again, they do not do what they say.
I was supposed to be refunded the cancellation fee. I am still holding my breath as I said above, they don’t do anything they commit to.
I could go on, but you get the point.
Regarding the house it is simply fantastic. It is exactly as the pictures show. A couple of items you need to know that Five Star does not tell you. The home has an audio system that is either turned off or not working. You will need to bring your own music source and speakers for music. Also, they do not mention that the pool is not heated. In my case even when I asked. If you are planning a trip after mid-October, the pool may be too cold to use.

"Five Star Properties was a nice…"

Five Star Properties was a nice management company to work with when renting our vacation home. Some items detailed on the rental home we booked were not accurate and this is the main reason for 4 star review instead of 5. My interactions with guest services was pleasant and if we had an issue, they worked to help resolve. I would book with them again.

The property was great but the services were really bad!!!pool no heat the first two days,air conditioner and living room really dirty!!!The sheets of the bed didn't look clean!!!and construction place was on the side of the pool.tell me is that is relax for a vacation.????

"This was our second year at this…"

This was our second year at this property for our annual girls weekend. We love the house. Plenty of room and right on the beach. Kitchen is well equipped, with an ice maker and two refrigerators. Plenty of outdoor furniture, but they sure could use some padding! We loved the upstairs deck for early morning coffee. We had an issue at check in and Five Star did their best to resolve it quickly. We have already rebooked for next year!

"Sea Span"

We certainly were grateful for our vacation to Destin with the gorgeous weather and good company. Unfortunately, our booking dates were mishandled by Fivestar and we were unable to stay at the home we booked. We were given the only available home left for that week that would accommodate our group. We had to report several issues upon the first two days, (and subsequent days after) and thankfully the various maintenance and housekeeping staff were wonderful to work with. (Whom, by the way, all were disappointed in this home as well-it has a history!)This home should not be represented by 5 Star, as it most likely does not compare to the other homes represented. We have shared a long list of concerns with the Sea Span House, but have not heard back from management about final compensation. Disappointed we didn’t quit get what we paid for. Overall, this house needs some love put into it. Thank you Steven, maintenance gentleman #2, Lisa and the gentleman from the pool company, who all came out through the week to try and solve what problems they could.

"This was all we hoped for"

This was all we hoped for, on the beach and plenty of room for us six couples in for a long weekend. Plenty of dishes and silverware and also wine glasses (real important with our crew). Being right on the beach was a must and being able to see the sunrise and sunset was just amazing. We will definitely be back.

"Had a very delightful time at the…"

Had a very delightful time at the sanctuary. Was not happy that the pool heater didn’t work and couldn’t be fixed when we were there but was pleased with how quickly I was reimbursed for that expense. Also sliding glass door lock was broken which didn’t get fixed during our stay

"CORAL SHORES NEEDS A MAINTENANCE OVERHAUL!"

The house was large and spacious. The house needs maintenance. I paid over $3000 to stay in the property for five days. The bed was squeaky and leaning to the side in the downstairs master. The gas grill didn't work, one of the kitchen drawers was broken. The bottom oven was broken and the fridge had broken parts. The electricity also stopped working in the downstairs master bath. The house also had a mildew smell. CORAL SHORES property should NOT be rented again until it has had a maintenance overhaul.
