I have had problems with all service providers for my home broadband previously, BT, Sky, EE, Virgin, and many more.
90% of the issues come down to the contention (how busy they are) and what they do with intercepting the traffic (throttling, monitoring, etc.).
I have had a line with 1310 that I get 75mbps, and it's considerably better than a line I had with Virgin that was double the speed! Things stream much faster and there's no slowdowns at popular times!

"The installation was great...BUT"
The installation was great. All was fine until there were issues. Then the company asks you to jump through hoops to prove that the connectivity you are getting is wrong. When asked if there would be any compensation for not meeting the contract requirements for an extended time - I was basically ignored. They have still not answered since my mail over a week ago - and still not getting full connectivity.

Ordered a 300mb service under advice that we'd get at least 200mb. At the date of installation the engineer mocked 1310 for even ordering the product - we were too far from the cabinet, so couldn't have the service.
It took 7 days, 14 phone calls and 14 promises of "we'll call you back" until I cancelled the service, still not got the call back or a refund for the setup fee.
Edit: after 11 days I got the full refund.
