For a lot of old film, the scans turned out very good. It took a little longer than I thought it would but there was no hurry on my part because the pictures were very old.

I have been separated from my 89-year-old dad for over a year now. Because we have been vaccinated, I was able to go in to visit him. I took my tablet to show him the home movies you scanned for me. They were taken over 60 years ago and are as clear as the day they were made. We were thrilled. He was overjoyed to see my oldest sister on her first day of life. She is now 64-years-old. "Great Product - Read the fine print"

I've scanned 10K photos with ScanCafe and consider myself a big fan. The work is secure, timely, etc. I've had two recent issues to keep in mind:

1. My last order didn't scan everything I sent. I'm sure it was a rare mistake but I hadn't felt the need to cross-reference what I sent with what I got back before, but I will on future orders. (SC offered to rescan the whole order, but files were already sorted, meta-tagged, etc. by the time I figured it out)

2. A gift card isn't the same as cash, it's more like a gift "certificate" for a prepaid service offer. If you buy a gift card, you can't use the value of that gift card on another order which includes a promotion. Just make sure you know what you're buying- it's *a little* misleading.

"Old slides become living memories"

Sent 200+ old family slides to Scan Cafe for transfer to DVD so each branch of the family could get a copy. The slides became excellent pictures. Some photos caught a now-departed family member's face with that look we all remember. This was my second submission to Scan Cafe, and once again I am very pleased with the results--well worth the price which I think very reasonable.
