My husband wanted me to experience the magic of Oslo and Bergen in Winter as he did many years ago. I provided Karen a broad outline of what we wanted to do and see in Norway and our concerns about our mobility limitations.
Working on short notice, she searched doggedly for a tour in the Norwegian arctic that would meet our expectations. She ensured that the Norwegian tour we selected, properly provided us with the accommodation, transfers and assistance we required and we paid for. Our tour leader, Javier Martinez, a freelance Spaniard with considerable knowledge and experience from many years of leading tours in Scandinavian countries, was a very capable, knowledgeable and extremely caring man who made us feel special and safe at all times. Unfortunately, a couple of the Norwegian tour company's excursions fell short of expectations, which were beyond the control of our tour leader and of Eclipse Travel. Furthermore, the fickle winter conditions and the unfortunate blizzard that swept thru Europe kept us from seeing the Aurora Borealis. Nonetheless, Norway gave us a fantastic, memorable and exhilarating experience.
Is it, therefore, any wonder that we have a very high regard for Karen O'Dwyer and have no hesitation in recommending her and Eclipse Travel?

Working with eclipse was a breeze to book with, ability to change the trip to suit our needs was great. However, upon arriving in Cuba, the sister company, green alligator had provided different set of itinieries to the guide which caused us some confusion and frustration as it wasn't matching up with what we had listed.

Anyways we worked through it and just told the guide what we had planned.

Other than that, awesome place to visit and worth the trip.

When my Antarctic holiday was cancelled the day I was due to fly to South America I called Eclipse and ended up on a fantastic Antarctic journey 3 weeks later.

We have used Eclipse Travel twice now to plan private tours for us in Cuba.
Both experiences were trouble free, all accommodation chosen by Eclipse Travel was perfect for our needs and costings.
Our local guides were punctual, very pleasant and knowledgable. They were very agreeable and flexible and gave us recommendations for restaurants, and suggestions for extra activities not on the itinerary, even making themselves available on their 'free days' if we needed transport etc.
I will definitely be using Eclipse Travel again to organise further trips.
